I did the manual install and the interior walls end up as square blocks.

После установки мода исчезли не только ускорители, а поменялось многое. Базы недостроены, Всё похоже на скелеты. вся моя работа насмарку. Всё пришлось вернуть как было. Спасибо за старания но НЕТ.

Dont expect devs to fix their game.

They working on SE2 Instead. You're just wasting time screaming on a Development team who NEVER FUCKIN READS

Dan is cool though. He needs to be community manager. Dan deserves more
This will be copy pasted through other optimizations packs to raise awareness that devs never gonna fix SE1

Found an issue with the beds from the [ DLC- Decorative Pack ]. namely the lack of the bed itself, as well as the breakage of previously installed ones in the world. literally when I lay down the character is a block away from it.

telling the developers to play their own game more isn't going to do anything they have high end gaming pcs and i bet never even run this game on mid-range hardware let alone minimum spec

This mod makes Beds fully air tight which means you suffocate when laying down in survival

@Droid Commandos, Ты можешь посмотреть другие части мода. Тебе будет плохо узнав, что они вообще ничем не занимались, что касается стабильности игры. Другие часть буду в будущем. Думаю я смогу удивить многих. :steamhappy:

Ржавый Дроид конечно дело говорит, но разработка лодов, имхо, займёт довольно много времени. И вроде как в игре уже есть их подобие, если поставить игру на низкие настройки графики.
В общем, спасибо Трончик, за вашу работу. Я по правде говоря даже не знал, что кины не занимались оптимизацией моделей от слова совсем. Думал, что для них такие шаги были бы очевидны... Оказывается в SE и не такое увидишь)

Roshag that that precise joke with SE.
LOD models are mostly low poly and primitives. Lod2 is basicaly armor block box.

For low poly textured cubes . I once had SOFTIMAGE XSI Studio that had ability to generate LODs with textures+ bump map.
That models look very good from far distance and they were cheap for GPU.
Maybe Blender have some plugin for this.
Game like Avorion here on steam shows how to do spaceship building sim.
Only limit of that game is that focus on space travel and not walking inside ship or planets.

Your Conveyor may crash game as you made that block like armor and game remove face with C.port and that trigger crash.
SE have no error control for this you can easy crash SE just by replacing piston head with suspension wheel (xml edit). Due to differences in that blocks (P.head / wheel) SE crash upon placing piston.

@Rusted Droid, unfortunately, only non-functional cubes can be cut. There are dummy models that deermine conveyor ports, interaction areas and other stuff. And they only work for "fancy" blocks (aka "triangle mesh"). Armor-like blocks are made of 6 models, but there can be no dummies - I got crash every time when tried to place down a conveyor that was made like armor. Textures would take a lot of time, because I never tried creating any and, probably, this process will be slow because of crappy CPU

Roshag i have older PC with Radeon HD 7770 1GB NOW mostly used as local server test server for server mods.
SE before fancy block update (decorative DLC) was running fast until some V-tuber say "SE is just broken lego simulator"
KeeN then make this hi-poly mess.
SE still runs on that GPU about 30fps if not complex ship spawns.
That GPU runs Garrys mod (Source engine) at 120fps all times.

TPOH Conveyor_Cube is also way too complex and people use them heavy. Hopefully LOD1 (Second distance model) is cheap compared to LOD-0.
So if you change block LODs config starting from 10m you can have quite fast gameplay but you will see your ship as bulky boxes of LOD1-2-3 by distance. This trick works for medium sized ships with hangars but not for huge stations.
SE NEED block face "occlusion culling" to NOT render faces of LOD1-2-3 of fancy blocks (blocks with 3D mesh).
Armor block do this but not block with 3D meshes?
SE need to only render block faces that is visible to camera. Currently blocks with Fancy3D mesh are rendered fully.
Focus on most used blocks and please make LOD-1-2-3 of these block in minecraft style (just fancy bump map texture).

Vanilla interior walls use same topology as armor (6 sides instead of single model). "players have hi-end GPUs"? I use 1050Ti, top-3 of most used GPUs in 2021, top-5 or top-6 in 2022. About 20 millions triangles on medium settings already cause 100% GPU load, the rest goes to CPU and slows down simspeed.

Yes, I understand that developers are not competent enough in the matter of creating games :steamfacepalm:. Therefore, we are solving this issue with this series of mods.:steamhappy:

According to the mechanics of the standard armor cube, the adjacent sides disappear and are not processed by your computer. Failed to make this mechanics for this cube.

If you create a full 3x3 cube in your world and look inside it with a surveillance camera (F8 button) You will see a significant difference with and without the mod.

KeeN had no idea how to make games, what poly count means and what LOD is for.
They not give a F about 3D mesh optimalization as "players have hi-end GPUs".
Game like AVORION shows how you can build massive ships without high poly blocks.
KeeN make 3D meshes with tiny details that can be replaced by just cheap bump map.

Only block that have minimal impact on FPS is basic armor cube as when connected the faces that touch together are not rendered same as Minecraft do so.
This not work for cubes with fancy 3D mesh like interior wall.

@hanels Now 1 block is available. Because he was the most difficult and problematic. Because we changed not only the model, but also the mechanics of its display.

We do not plan to make this project a long-term project. We plan to do most of it within 2 months.
