this entire mod is literally only possible by a bug that allows units to be rescaled there is nothing better i can do than what is provided

Players hitboxes do not change with height, could be a matter of scaling the hitbox with the player

Still can't figure out CBA settings, addon options and the sliders. toggled the sliders in addon options around, saved, loaded and restarted single player missions but no change. need some help

@Pripyat Lizard 🦎 yes, it does not work for other clients. it only works locally on things that are local to the host, so only you will see the effects of it on yourself in local hosted mp

You can technically use this in mp but it just requires a loop. It's wonky but can be done with major performance hit.

🤷‍♀️ should work fine, no clue why it doesnt -- same for mp as the mod runs locally. this is really outside of the scope of what arma was ever meant to do, expect bugs

I tried it by exporting a simple mission into both SP and MP, so MP, ok that's not covered then. But what about MP? If it plays ok in Eden preview why not SP?

PS/ Don't be so suprised, everyone being the same height is something that's irked me, and many others for 20 years, going back even to Operation Flashpoint, so no suprise this mod gets kind of a cult following! :steamthumbsup:

Repeating myself here...... but, it works great, but only when "previewing" missions in Eden. When saving / exporting and playing the mission that way, it doesn't, even though it has "client" and "mission" override in it's addon configs. The description seems to say it works in missions ok, so what am I doing wrong?

One thing I noticed..... it doesn't seem to take effect in premade scenarios and campaigns. It works fine when using Eden / preview, but in ready scenarios it reverts you back to normal size.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just an engine limitation?

If you look the subject about "soldier height" in the discussions, all threads are full of naysayers saying "impossibru!". Looks like those numpties have been proven wrong......... and by
the simple "setobjectscale" function it seems!
Ok, this might not work on MP (even when playing "solo MP" on your own hosted server) or in vehicles (size reverts back to normal), but hey, this does the job.

PS/ Did ArmA 2 have this "setobjectscale" function also?

Any plans on adding a Eden module, or a built-in "Unit Attributes" option, so each player could have his specific height pre-set for every mission?

This would be very awesome for hardcore MilSim units that don't even use nametags, and would make buddy recognition a bit easier

The word scale there could also mean scale of just the height for people who don't know so its still misleading.

@Isaacdevil -- I know. This is an engine limitation. This mod is provided "as is", just like the engine command that it uses, which shouldn't be expected to function properly in anything but ideal circumstances. This mod was made as a joke and something to tinker with UX from my perspective.

WillKMJ, First of all, thanks for your work. That a great mod and i really like it (Because i`m short and it`s funny as hell :D ) but here`s a problem. While swimming player`s unit kinda glitching. Changing height to default seems to make glitch dissapear, but is there any way to make it without constant height change? Thanks in advance.

Are you able to make a function in eden that allows you to individually set the height for different players? Or even a function through zeus to change player heights. Trying to run some ops with specific heights and it seems I can only change the players height as a whole.

@french indochina -- I've honestly no idea. The scripting command was never intended for use with units let alone in missions. This mod was mostly just made for shits and giggles

will our character seem further off the ground instead of looking too low to it as vanilla is? iv always thought that my head in arma was too close to the ground by default. hope it does. thanks either way for your work on this to make the game better and ongoing.

@Grenaders3 -- Server side needed too due to how the settings work. Note server here is the hosting player, it does not work in dedi mp.
