@LuthiX, Id love to have on-sprite graphics for the axes to show them equipped. I need to dig into other mods that add weapons on-sprite to see how to achieve it. Ill take a look at that issue you raised too.
I'm sold. Going to try throwing axes as a way to approximate the power of baby dwarf fists. :P
The wiki lists the throwing skill as "hilariously overpowered". I must admit to avoiding this mod due to that implication, haha.
But I will try to do some testing at some point. LOVE the idea of your mods adding these weapons
The "Last Throwing Axe" is a seperate weapon to the actual projectiles yes. You could indeed have a steel 'thrower' and iron throwing axes; When a dwarf enters melee he will use the range weapon (like a crossbow, or this 'last throwing axe') as a melee weapon; the stats of that are a less powerful version of the default axe. Same for the thrown projectiles, they aren't as strong as a regular axe, because theyre much smaller and lighter, but they are more powerful than a crossbow bolt.
I've set them to use the THROW/Throwing skill (Same across all three mods; Slings, Javelins and Throwing Axes) and Putnam suggested that it *should* work with archery targets as well. I will test in game.
@Digganob: Sure I can, Ill try get it up later today.
