@nervosrex the problem with that is that it doesnt leave room for your dwarves to transition in real game time which means you cant have trans dwarves outside of the ones that spawn in. you need to add mechanics to allow for the transition to actually take place for it to be anything other than hamfisted-especially since if we go back to realism not every dwarve that transitioned would get the same results since trans people dont always follow the same transition plan. having it so every ftm and mtf dwarf respectively has the same transition with the ability to watch them transition wouldnt be that hamfisted imo though because actual effort would be put in. as a placeholder tho thats a great idea.

either way im hyped to hear they actually want to add it and sorry if i dumped to much on you, random internet person, i feel like im prone to that.

@Steev I mean there's magic in the world, so getting a little note on them in their bios that says "this dwarf has transitioned" while not actually affecting anything else would probably be an easy way to go about it.

@ColbyWolf Actually, ToadyOne has talked about adding trans dwarves somewhere down the line. Something about figuring out how exactly they want to implement it, and just finding the time among all the other things they want to do.

Lovely, reminds me of a creature mod i made some 5 years back where the race had a 90% chance of being homosexual, 10% chance of being bisexual, and 0% chance of being heterosexual, but the few heterosexual couples that did exist had litters of 16-24 kids at a time. As a civilized race, they either died out really quickly in history gen, or went on to dominate the map from their population explosion. Man, i kinda want to remake that mod now...

@Stogie I haven't tested, but I expect it's not too bad. It's sort of counterbalanced by the fact that it removes the chance of non-marriage-interested dwarves, and marriages tend to have more children.

How does this influence civ populations? Should I increase my starting civ numbers to counterbalance the lower number of children?
