It's just topsy-turvy.
Or, a new mod that ONLY applies to modded blocks, and do not affect vanilla blocks.
update 1.203 introduced a keen brand PP (not the same method i used) into base SE
update 1.204 broke it for non-armor blocks (armor block placement was actually tightened in 1.204)
subgrid placement of non-armor blocks have returned to being restricted around subgrids

The picture linked in the last post is a regular armor slope block next to a subgrid half armor slope block. they are on two separate grids, not the same grid (Right side where block placement is red is main grid, Left is subgrid which collides)
With Precision Placement mod on, the armor block cannot be placed. in vanilla Signal update it can be placed. So the mod is definetly doing something.
this mod NEVER worked on armor blocks (as stated on the LIMITATIONS section of the description (who nobody ever reads)
this only worked on blocks with static colliders
keen introduced their own brand of PP on 1.203 (warfare evolution)
which worked on armor blocks, and made this mod pretty much deprecated
signals update broke that
make a report on the support site to get it fixed by the scheduled hotfix

In trying to fix this, I tried taking out the floors and walls and replacing. The 3 glass walls seem to intrude 10% into the grid square the chair used to occupy.
Now I still can't get the Chair to "snap" down in contact with the floor, so it does not fly the ship, being its own grid. It also breaks off and floats easily. IE, its not attaching to the ship grid.
I'm guessing this mod will allow me to place the chair's-grid-cube IN the tight space. The window wall squares squeeze into the open (should-be-cockpit) space? So with this mod I can snap it in the squeezed space?
Or do I need to snap down the chair, then build the window-wall-(Cubes) around it? Because that didnt seem to work either.
Gonna go try this mod right now, just hope someone can advise. thanks.
So... it should just work? Im having a hell of a time getting this to work with subgrids.
No, just load it and should be good
-armor slope 2x1x1
-armor corner 2x1x1
i tried with half armor block
so no I don't see any reason why this mod would change how the game behaves after it's removal
@The Windows Experience: That was lechking's point -- they were responding to Punishment Divine / Dagonius. To non-scripters/coders who don't know anything, it SEEMS easy like anyone with two brain cells should be able to do it. Thus they think Keen need to get on it.
No dumb, entitled demands or expectations out of the mod's scope. @DragonF1re, @Leonser, et al.
today cannot possibly end quickly enough because i need to play with this one.
