Report a translation problem
I know, my git discipline is terrible. I'll make sure to get that one pushed.
What change did you want to make? There is a lot of code that is just deactivated currently, since it needs better documentation to be usable.
Also, your github repos are apparently very out of date. I wanted to do an improvement for Categorized Bill Menus, but the last commit is 3 years old.
Currently, Chinese players can use the method of typing and copying the text they want to search and then pasting it into the search box of this mod, it works!
Above content translated by DeepL
* Convince the author of "Categorized Bill Dropdown" to switch to using the "Float Sub-Menus" library mod for sub-menus instead of their own variant. (With a dependency, not copying the code.) Then it would just work.
* Use "Categorized Bill Menus" instead - it is already compatible, but does not work quite the same. (Categories are not curated, but better compatibility with other mods.)
* Convince them to implement the same feature in their mod. It would maybe be possible for them to integrate with this mod instead, but easier to just do it separately.
It feels wrong to push my own mods as response to a compatibility issue, but it's just the way it is in this case.
The mod list you are following is probably not in load order.
You could try deleting your hotkey settings, to see if that fixes it (after copying them, of course). Otherwise I have no Idea how to fix it.
Only 2 i can think of is MacOS and Arm64 chipset. To date I have issues with Hotkeys mod where the mod doesnt register Ctrl and Alt modifiers. Had to rig the config xml files manually to get it working. Constant between that mod and this is the key input.
Did you try to use the menu search before saving the log?
If so, then I can't really think of anything else. I tried reproducing the steps you took in the screen cap, and it worked as expected for me. If Ctrl or Alt is held then nothing happens when you type, if that could be something.
Is there anything else that would set your setup apart from the average player?
It looks like your last comment got stuck in the content check. Could you try reposting it?
It could always be a compatibility issue, but it seems unlikely for the symptoms. Search field ending up in the middle of the menu is not nessicarily an error - there is a sorting using priority. I use the highest priority level, but so could other menu items that want to be on top.
Could you send an error log? Ctrl+F12 if you have HugsLib active.
which is why I'm thinking probably its a loadorder on incompatibility issue. if its a bug more than happy to do withchunting, just that i need your help to point me to the general direction.
Wait, did you click the search field first? It has to have focus before you can type there.
I'll add a note about that to the description.
It is set up so that the vanilla "Auto-sort mods" button should give the correct result. If you for some reason can not use that, then just making sure it is after its requirements (see "required items" on the right).
Did you have any specific problems?
