Sweet, I'll get started on it after I figure out this TV mod...

yep, no problem

Ahhhh, I thought you meant the actual attack animations for those weapons are the exact same in the code, and when you add XP you refer to the animation ID.
I understand your decisions for which weapons get which XP, it makes sense. Would you mind if I made my own version that covers all of the weapons?

Well, that's my guess.

For example, I do the same movements when I swing a fire ax and a bat.

The only difference is what type of damage is dealt.

But weapon control is about the same.

Look.
In fact, Axes are 50% cutting, 50% crushing.
They have a displaced center of gravity. All that distinguishes them from blunt is the presence of a cutting edge.

Weapon wielding is basically wielding it frequently.
Therefore, when you swing approximately the same type of weapon, you get the same experience. The movement is worked out the same.

Only here, for spears and short knives, the animations are completely different, this is such ... its own category.

Hmm, so you link the XP event to what type of attack animation happens? I think you can link the type of weapon itself in a different way, but I would need to check the Lua events list to be sure.

In principle, i can cram everything for everything with a sandbox options.

I thought about it.
But here it is necessary to add depending on the attack animation.

We have the same animations for
Axes, Long Blunt, Blunt, Long Blade;
I'm thinking of making this weapon category for EXP share.

Short Blade only with Long Blade.
Spears.... poor lonely child...

Very cool. Would be neat to see a mod that slowly accumulates XP for all the different melee types (i.e. Baseball bat is long blunt, it gives 100% long blunt, 50% short blunt, 20% long blade, 10% spear, etc.) depending on how closely it resembles the weapon type. Just to sort of "round out" the weapon skills into one "melee" skill :)
