Status Update: Map is done, a majority of essential triggers are done. Testing needs to be done. After testing is confirmed good to go on core gameplay and mission layout, I'll be adding my usual cinematic shots and such. After that and a final playtest, should be released shortly after.

Update: Mission 11's map is 99.9% complete, to the point I'm happy and I'm moving onto triggers. No ETA still, but Triggers is typically the fastest stage of development for me :)

I got back into the ST franchise :unitedcitizenfederation:, watching all the movies (only saw the first one before), buying this game, and I'm glad that now, because of you, I can also play the very first game of the franchise which I never did before in an up to date graphics engine.
It's a really good campaign, awesome content for free to extend on the base game,
thanks so much for your work. I enjoyed all 10 thus far played missions. :starshiptrooper:
Can recommend them to anyone who liked playing the main game. :stok:

Hello Everyone, and hello LionStein. Let me tell you i still play stta.. after all these years... always!
So it was a great pleasure when i discovered did mod: it gives terran command its meaning. I have to confess i buoght t.c. just beacuase it's starship troopes.. but the campaign is not so nice.. stta was THE real campaign! So TNX LionStein!! really!
and now a question for you all: i modified the txt of stta original to have more bugs and so on (i think most of you know what i'm saying). Also i put more bugs and brain bugs in the missions so the difficulty is increased. Do you have other tips? pls let me know. daddymicio@gmail.com

Your very welcome. I look forward to seeing the rest of the TA campaign missions made by you. My favorite mission from TA is Operation:Classified cause it made me rethink my standard strategies against the bugs because of the infested Troopers because of Col. Holland's betrayal. I'm looking forward to how you do that mission.

Hello everyone!

I've got a small update, some of you may not appreciate too much, but I hope you understand. The project is NOT DEAD by any means, it is not on hold either, the progress is very much slowed. I'm not sure if its just the particular mission I'm currently working on or STTC in general, but it has become a bit of a chore to get into the editor. Hyperfixation is certainly a thing, and I'm hyperfixated on other (not STTC) projects and games at the moment.

I'm committed to getting mission 10 released, but afterwards you can expect a dramatically reduced time schedule for new releases. I hope to get this project done eventually , as we will be about halfway done with the project.

STTA:Remake is by far the largest campaign on the workshop right now for STTC, I hope and encourage someone to top me. Just don't burn yourself out in the process (as I have).

Side note: STTA was the most fun to me when I increased the ammo cache capacity and EXP modifiers so that it became kinda easier but also much more similar to native STTC gameplay, without ammo limitations and more straight-forward action. Since you are going with an unmodded STTC as base it really hits home the way it is already. Your STTA campaign feels more like the movie's combat sequences than vanilla STTA and I consider this a good thing!

I recently finished the STTC campaign and was about to play STTA (of which I still keep a copy) when I noticed your work. Let me say that I am impressed. I just finished Royalty I and every single mission feels just right. I have not encountered a single bug besides the killable ones yet and the only minor inconvenience was the convoy mission on the beach map ("Select to tell it to move") since they convoy waypoints were sometimes pretty horrid in relation ot the pop-up bugs. Still workable though.

Please keep this updated, I am looking forward to the completed campaign!

As for the tutorial: Don't bother. The STTA tutorial was so specific about STTA functions and weaponry, any effort spent on a 1:1 remake would be wasted. The native STTC Klendathu tutorial is all you need to enjoy your STTA campaign, especially considering that you introduce and handle stuff like the capture mechanic without flaw already.

I'm glad you're enjoying this!! Unfortunately the unit choice option is very complex to incorporate, and it would increase the complexity of other triggers, and increase the complexity of QA to make sure most players are able to enjoy the missions.

I want to take a moment and thank you all for playing these missions, reporting issues, and helping refine the missions long after their release.

With the release of Mission 9 (Hydra), and if I exclude 1 mission because it requires Lava DLC (which is not out yet), we are officially half-way complete with all 20 missions!! This is currently the longest custom campaign done using Terran Command, and I want to thank you all for the love, support, and following this project.

This is a beautiful copy of the original Terran Ascendancy. I do miss the persistent squad and the ability to upgrade units between missions, but this game isn't designed to accommodate that. This is stellar and I can't wait until the rest of them come online! Thank you so much for releasing this!

I loved STTA growing up, until recently it was one of the finest examples of how to properly do a Starship Troopers game. There have been some really bad ST games that rival the worst of the ST movies.

Recently with Terran Command and the new Extermination game it seems like this franchise is finally getting the respect it deserves, and your maps are helping bring the good past to the present!

This remake is a work of art. The completed Act 1 scenarios constitute a stand alone campaign in their own right. Reinventing the capture mechanic with clever use of scripting was a fun "new" objective.

If you told me this was a DLC campaign I'd believe you. 10/10
