Regarding the thumbnail, it looks fine if you click on it to make it bigger. Likely just a gif scaling issue :(

it will be hard to do. Remember that it is only visual, animation example. Changing thrust vector is VERY hard, as in API there is no direct control over this. There are some trick to use, but this would requiere very finesse coding. Without guarantee that will be stable.
Thrust direction in thrusters is fixed along Block Z axis.
