Krynoc When i place them to copy lift cabin wall (small foot print) the wheel offset just go forward/back not left/right towards rail i build.
If i want to make lifts i must place bulky keen small wheel in rotation so i can push wheel towards rail for friction.
Your wheels look great for lifts as they are small and wheel just stick out perfect for lift rail clearence.

Can we get special angled one "Small Landing Wheel Motor" to have wheel offset on Y axis instead on Z axis?
I try make simple lift with them but "wheel offset" just copy placed rail axis (Front / Back) and not go towards it (Up/down) for better friction.

Noticed an issue with the frame of the turning wheel, being left behind floating in the air untouchable after you drive away from the original position

That did the trick. tat 100% power and strength, two "Small Landing Wheel Motor" are capable of gradually taxiing a 58 million gram small grid. well done!!

I forgot about updating the wheel power there. I have now set it to half of the power of the vanilla 1x1 wheels, and about twice what it used to be. It now accelerates and brakes in an acceptable manner, with the power of the wheels set to 100%.

I agree with @Shiny Leprechaun on the braking power being a bit limited. Landing wheels can absorb a hard landing pretty well, and parking brake instead of normal braking (backwards key) does work pretty effectively for small grids.

One note is the very low motor strength of the "Small Landing Wheel Motor", even at 100% power it's not strong enough for taxiing even small-sized small grids. Is there any point in having a motor in this fixed wheel? I don't think it needs one tbh. the variant and model itself are nice though and total keepers. I could taxi ships on forward thrusters instead, as it is done irl.

steering wheel's texture often tends to "get stuck" where one builds it (does not affect wheel's functioning).

Also, stronger braking power would be nice, since any build above 70k just keeps sliding downhill like a real shopping cart (makes it pretty difficult to use as landing gear for aircrafts)

Otherwise probably one of the best landing wheel mods out there.

The offset wheels without steering do have a motor to move when the thrusters are off. You may need to boost the power of the wheels to 100% in the terminal.

I also mistakenly had the animation engine as a dependancy. It is not a requirement at this time, but will most likely be one in the future.

Hey so good news! I think I was completely wrong and this mod is perfectly okay. After playing for a while I had another crash of the same exact type and this time it gave info about Defensive Shields in the console before crashing, so I removed DS and haven't had any issues for a while now with this mod added back. I think the reason it did it only after like 10 minutes when I added this mod is maybe due to a conflict of some sort or something between this and DS maybe? I'm not the smartest so I could be wrong that's just my guess, because I was definitely experiencing it with this mod added alongside DS (and my other mods ofc) it just happened faster with this than without it for some reason.

If I have no issues within the next 12 hours with your mod on my server (Reasonable issues ofc bc this is SE after all) then I'll remove my previous comment about it causing my world to break as to not scare others off from this mod because it is very cool.

@Dog can you send me any crash logs you may have from the crashing? I'm not sure if that would have been caused by this mod, but some funky stuff does happen with wheels so I would like to check.

so I have a random suggestion, is there any way you can take a look at the assault cannon. and give it the ability to arc rounds like proper artillery role. certain cannons when the warfare 2 weapons were a little disappointing.
