Great mod! I'm really interested in seeing this in your other additional units mod, maybe as a sub?
Aristoxenus 11 Feb @ 2:05pm
I tried it with Imperator Mundis Campaign overhaul.
(it says campaign overhaul but only the map changes, il keep running tests with different extended maps thou).

Do you want me to keep you updated in case it works?
Danymok  [author] 11 Feb @ 1:17pm
@Aristoxenus personally I haven't made any map expansion mods as I don't really know how to mod that side of things. However there are other map mods out there that should be compatible with this mod, since this mod doesn't change any of the files in the "world" folder, but I am not 100% sure.
Aristoxenus 11 Feb @ 12:41pm
Indeed you "didn't" ;)
There is no proof you "threaten" us, its all in our imagination.

Btw, do you make extended map mods, it would be fun to see Ptolemaic Egypt expanding more than only anatolia syria and mesopotamia. I want to see Hellenic Egyptians reaching Ethiopia
Danymok  [author] 11 Feb @ 12:20pm
@Aristoxenus nice to hear you subscribed willingly, I definitely didn't threaten you to do so >:)
Aristoxenus 11 Feb @ 12:13pm
I subscribed willingly (no, tbh, I didn't want to be pressed into the peasant "regiment"
Pingunator4 16 Dec, 2024 @ 3:28pm

Pippo 8 Jun, 2024 @ 3:21pm
Does this work with the Danymok Expanded units mod?
McDumb 26 May, 2024 @ 5:45am
Looks good! It's a shame that the general portrait are the same as vanilla though
OFP 10 Nov, 2023 @ 2:32am
You should removed most of egyptian units maybe left chariots.
Puggly the Grey 15 Oct, 2023 @ 11:30am

The Bird ..I.. 14 Oct, 2023 @ 11:09am

Danymok  [author] 29 May, 2023 @ 9:30am
@FatherBishop, You can message me on Discord instead, my username is DanyMok#5972
FatherBishop 29 May, 2023 @ 7:46am
Hey Danymok! Any chance you could message me? i wanted to start modding some units and i was wondering if you had a good tutorial to follow? thanks!
Danymok  [author] 27 May, 2023 @ 9:50am
@kdonohueglg20, the legionaries are only available to train after the Marian Reforms. If you already reached the Marian Reforms and you still can't train them, let me know because that would be a bug
kdonohueglg20 27 May, 2023 @ 8:59am
Love the mod, but I'm not able to recruit the legionaries in the campaign. Are they only available for custom battles?
FatherBishop 25 May, 2023 @ 1:38pm
apologies! you're absolutely right. this roster is amazing! i think it would be cool if you added a royal spartan unit. similar in appearance to the "ATG spartan mod" for classic rome. it would be the last unit to recruit via urban barracks. it would be a powerful unit and would take 5 turns to recruit. (im aware you can change all this in the data files) just a thought. either way love your work!
Danymok  [author] 24 May, 2023 @ 10:10am
Hi @FatherBishop, I appreciate the kind words. My Rosters Expanded mod already adds more units to the Greek Cities faction, if that's what you are looking for. Or do you mean something else?
FatherBishop 24 May, 2023 @ 6:23am
Hey Danymok! love your mods! any chance you could make a roster for sparta/greek city states? similar to what they have in the extended cultures mod? thanks!
generalg2012 8 May, 2023 @ 2:39pm
I would definitely be interested. They would seem to compliment each other.
Danymok  [author] 8 May, 2023 @ 2:35pm
@generalg2012, no. Generally, Rome Remastered mods are not compatible with each other unless the mod is specifically designed to be a submod rather than a standalone one, it's just the nature of how this game organizes the files. However, my Rosters Expanded mod includes most of the features in this one, so it wouldn't be too different. If there is enough interest, I could make a submod that includes the features of this mod in my Rosters Expanded.
generalg2012 8 May, 2023 @ 2:20pm
Is this mod compatible with your other mod Rosters Expanded?

*pikachu face*
historical accuracy in my history game?
Danymok  [author] 1 Apr, 2023 @ 7:10pm
@Riekopo, glad you like the mod :)

I could make such a mod. I did not originally want to do that because I felt like removing the vanilla Egyptian unit would take away the unique feel the faction has, plus I would have to fill out the empty parts of the roster with more Greek style units if I did that. Also, I am currently working on a very big mod plus I am still releasing updates for Rosters Expanded, so this small Egyptian mod is not really on my to do list, but perhaps I will do something like that in the future.

Also, Riekopo or anyone else reading this, I encourage you to use the assets in this mod for your own, as long as you give credit where credit is due. Maybe someone else could make a Ptolemaic Egypt mod that more commits to Egypt being strictly Hellenistic.
Riekopo 1 Apr, 2023 @ 7:03pm
Thank you for making this. Would it be possible to have an alternate version that removes the vanilla Egyptian units?
Nero II 28 Mar, 2023 @ 12:59am
Thank you!
Danymok  [author] 14 Mar, 2023 @ 12:45pm
@Nero II, this mod does not have a descr_strat file, since I did not change it at all. Start positions and all related things in that file have not been changed. You can modify the descr_strat file from the base game folder, although I would suggest not changing that file.

Instead, you can go to the folder for this mod, and in data make the folder path "world" --> "maps" --> "campaign" --> "imperial_campaign" and in there paste the descr_strat.txt from the base game folder. Then you can modify it.

If you need me to clarify anything, you can ask me, hope this helps
Nero II 13 Mar, 2023 @ 11:28pm
Quick question, please: where is the descr_strat file for this mod??? That way I can add an extra thousand turns and unlock all factions.

Thank you so much!!!
Bokbg 11 Mar, 2023 @ 3:01pm
Does this mod work with Imperatoris Mundi campaign map mod?
VersionZero 18 Feb, 2023 @ 4:59am
Love the ptolemaic hastati!
Hampuzio 18 Feb, 2023 @ 3:42am
u keep this game alive for me love the unit mod u put out :D
Lord.Ragnar 15 Feb, 2023 @ 11:38pm
No worries mate! Again, big thanks for your mods!
Danymok  [author] 15 Feb, 2023 @ 7:08am
I decided to keep Egypt's standard bodyguards because I did not want them to lose their unique feel. I understand that it might be un-historical or that you may have preferred Egypt to have the regular cavalry general, but then they would have been like every other Greek faction in the game. So idk, for now at least, I don't plan on changing their general's bodyguards. Something to look forward to for the Marian reforms I suppose lol
Lord.Ragnar 15 Feb, 2023 @ 4:35am
Thanks for getting back to me Danymok, much appreciated. I'm playing as Egypt now with the standalone mod, and I am thinking is there a way to get rid of the generals being based on a chariot and have them on horseback?
Danymok  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 2:55pm
Lord.Ragnar, I'm glad you enjoyed my mods :) And yes, it is a standalone mod. The Rosters expanded mod does already contain most of the features in my Ptolemaic Egypt mod, but there are some gaps. In general, Rome Remastered files makes it very difficult for 2 mods to work together unless I specifically make this into a submod, but then it would not be able to be a standalone mod. Maybe I will release another mod though combining the two if people are interested.
Lord.Ragnar 14 Feb, 2023 @ 2:03am
Can this be run with your 'Rosters Expanded' mod or is it a stand-alone mod? Great work on both mods by the way!
