I know genetics so I can't comment on that part, but the descriptions of the patterns were entirely confusing... too many terms with zero explanation - for example, reading "frame overo" made me think we were talking about the build of the horse (maybe being more muscular or something). It would be a good idea to explain some general stuff first; even if only the information that we are talking about colours and patterns and nothing else!

And for anyone else trying to solve this and looking here for clues, two main colours red/brown and black, and then different genes creating different patterns over those two basic colours. There's absolutely nothing else referenced in those hint sheets, just patterns modifying the two basic colours.

This room taught me way more than I ever wanted to know about horse-breeding. You're kind of obsessed with horses, aren't you?

This was entirely confusing. The placement of which placard goes to which horse by color and by DNA is completely unclear. The information that you need to refer to for the rule sets is obnoxious. When pinned, it is barely readable, and having to constantly pull it back up or run to the pin board is an annoyance. I found that placing the placards and rule sheets on the ground near each other was the most efficient means of working through the information, but even this is, as the most viable solution, is still annoying.
