桥屋 - 一座灵活的房屋,中间部分抬高。可建在道路和某些小型物体(如井)上方。与村舍数据相同,但能适应更多独特空间。

Great mod, but the building descriptions could do with closer matching vanilla descriptions, like no. heads of household.

I love this mod. It adds a lot more character to the game and encourages more natural layouts instead of going with the same city block over and over again. Doesn't feel OP and I also like how it naturally encourages building special "districts".

The apartment doesn't make sense, it takes as much space as 2 manors for 3x more wood, 2x more stone & gold + 20 iron and obviously an insane building time...

And all of this to hold 60 people or 20% more than 2 manors

They should hold at least 75 or increase the stone cost and make it 100 people

i think this is a great addition to the base game gives you way to Diversify the different houses you're able to build giving your kingdom a much needed face lift from the default houses

I wish AI used the new houses more often. I think their very sporadic build style would look awesome with the new buildings, and it would make their kingdoms' feel even more alive. Sadly I've only ever seen them build a few of the new houses. Still absolutely a great mod

I have pushed the mac issue up to the devs, but no response so far. I have stared at the code and don't see how or why Mac is throwing an error.

The best bet for mac users might be to emulate the game through Wine or Whisky. It should run the Windows copy through that, which works without issue.

Right now I'm working on one for Lethal Company. Its been slow going though I'm making decent progress.

I also have the Centre Services mod that I'm currently stuck on coding wise.

I consider this mod to be finished. I don't have plans for other houses at the moment, and It does everything I set out to do.

If I can ever figure out the mac fix, I'll do that. But right now I'm working on other mods.

I'm very grateful for this mod. The kingdom no longer looks so monotonous. Of course I'm hoping for more - but even with what you've given us so far I'm really happy.

I usually don't highly recommend mods, but this one definitely needs to be in everyone's worlds. Adds new house models that make sense and don't break the game. 10/10, would download again.

I don't think it's easy to solve the problem of the bridge house. The only solution is to use the NoBuildingLimitations (Stable Branch) mod to raise the road surface. After the house is built, we can find a way to remove the wall.

Citizens do pass underneath the bridge house, though I noticed that they seem to prefer to go around it when on dirt roads. I have had people consistently going underneath it if the roads were stone or a garden.

Its very inconsistent, and my fixes have not worked so far. If going under the bridge house is the only choice for a peasant, they'll do it. But they seem to prefer other routes.

The middle of the bridge house cannot be passed by citizens. To achieve this, a mod must be used to elevate a wall by one layer

This is what chatgpt gave me in terms of how many tiles used and the amount of pop given (subtracted from the hoh) per tile to find the most efficient houses per tile used. This isn't accounting for taxes, so take this into account if you need more money during your games.

Note: chat counted bridge house as 2 tiles (since 1 goes over a road) so make sure you use that house appropriately to maximize free pop gains.

Apartment (8 tiles) - 6.00 free pop/tile
Commons House (6 tiles) - 5.67 free pop/tile
Bridge House (2 tiles) - 5.50 free pop/tile
Block House (4 tiles) - 5.50 free pop/tile

I discovered something interesting: You can place castle gates under the bridge of the bridge house. You can even place 1x1 statues from the DLC on top of the gate. By the way, it turns out you can build statues on castle walls.

Hey there, thanks for this great mod! I love the diversity this brings to the game, and I can hardly think of playing KC without it anymore. I mostly play on Windows, but I have the Mac bug too. Mac M1 Pro, MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1. In case it helps. Cheers, keep up the good work!

a chateau would be a amazing new house for this mod. along with this a vineyard to grow grapes and a winery to make wine along with this a brewery can turn wheat into beer and this can be used in taverns or other entertainment buildings. also it would be nice to see peasants look different in clothing depending on there job or wealth with that a wealth system would be cool.of course a lot of what i said would be for a separate mod.

Hey Author, I have a request for the next update to this mod, could you add the keep and all of it's upgrade forms as building? It could have the same kind of thing as a house just it looks like the keep.

Yeah, macs are causing a problem that I've been unable to fix. I took a long look at the code while doing my recent update, and I do not know why macs are misbehaving. The code should work just fine, but it's throwing an error that it shouldn't.

I'm still hunting for a fix.
