Fixed =)
I just tested this. And nope.... since you have to enable code mods when you start a new game =(
You can't do this after a new game was started.
I know a way around this, but this is more effort I'm willing to put into this right now,
I will take a look into this when there's a stale game version.
I ported it to V69 :x
You may have to resubscribe to force steam to update.
Tell me if it works as intended ;P
i think the error comes frome the changes to fertility cause they changed it to a soil and moisture system.
I will port my mods, when there is a stable game version.
The error you got is a compatibility issue. You are probably running the wrong game version. Or a patch broke the mod.
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: settlement.main.SETT.FERTILITY()Lsettlement/tilemap/growth/Fertility;
You can have multiple versions folders. My automated build pipeline only packages the current version of the game and I don't want to support old versions in this case. I would need to back port bug fixes and so on.
And it's just more complex to build multiple versions as each needs the correct game files to be compiled against. I would need to use some more tooling for this, which itself is complex to setup and maintain... blaaa... short: I'm too lazy ^^
We can't have multiple version folder anymore?
You can download an older version through the github links:
https://github.com/4rg0n/songs-of-syx-mod-plant-trees/releases
Yes, but if you don't know how to manipulate serialized Java objects in a file, you are lost.
I can implement to force an activation, but this will cause other issues when ppl then forget to enable the checkbox and save their game (bricks saves).
You have to start a new game unfortunately to make use of it =(
I may change some stuff in the game ScriptEngine in the future to make this work properly, but I don't want to do this in this mod. I don't like this change with V67 either... it's an artificial limitation, which will cause more confusion for the player than it provides benefit. But the idea how the Script checkbox was intended to be used and how we are using it currently also changed...
can the script be enabled AFTER the game has been started already? if yes, how?
I updated the screenshot with the menu entry. Searching for "tree" works for me though.
Did you enable the "Plant tree" script in the new "Random Game" window? There where you can set the difficulty.
Hmm... for me it loads in already existing save games. Do you have other mods enabled in this save? Maybe there's a conflict happening in the background.
Yes! I'm not sure whether I'm finished when v65 releases, but it will be ported =D
So my Wood Cutters would be more productive and I can decide more freely where to place them ^^
