@Genubath, the 3rd hive is in the upper right of the map, between the two hives highlighted. It's technically off the map by the game's understanding, so that's why it's not there on your minimap. Sorry for the confusion!

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm incorrect, but I cannot find the third Hive to complete the secondary objective. Here is a screenshot of my minimap at the end of the mission (spoilers obv) https://imgur.com/a/cmWbxzQ
I did find a bug tunnel that didn't seem to be attached to any hive in the north-east-east part of the map.

I tried it again, this time worked. I guess it was because I used the sniper ability too close to the holes: somehow, it made the event don't activate.

@Trunko et all corrected the Fort Joe Ambush lasting too long / forever.

Huh, @Lionstein? It went for 7 waves, but they didn't stop. And there was no dialogue, just the holes spawning more and more bugs and I cannot destroy them.

@Trunko, they are temporarily indestructible until the waves of bugs are done. About 4 “waves”, after you Ensign Barry tells you there are some low level power signatures nearby, then they can be destroyed because the ambush is done

Once I reach the fort and the ambush happens, I cannot destroy the bug holes. They look...indestructible. What happened?

And I can agree I can never create a true 1-1 remake, but respectfully, I am taking the perspective of currently available Official Scenarios and campaign missions where there are fixed forces and no reinforcement (Knights in Powered Armor as an example, and the cave missions).

This means there will be a limit to reinforcements when the mission calls for it, but creative liberties are being taken.

Again, I am reviewing ambush balance for updates. Thank you!

Or, don't know if it's possible, the ambush needs to escalate rather than dumping 50+ bugs practically inside the walls right off the bat.

Again, another mission hampered by bug holes opening up right under your feet. And while it didn't immediately kill my mission, it proved ultimately fatal. Also, the ambush on the fort happened WAY too quickly. It either needs a (short) timer before it starts, or needs more distance between the fort, or both.

Lastly, I don't think you can make 1-1 gameplay recreation. The games are built different with different mechanics. In Terran Ascendancy I can play the whole game without a single trooper dying (minus the sacrifice). With Medics and Engineers, it's not that difficult. But for this game the troopers are built to be expendable. And replaceable. So you should (IMO) build in extra troops as rewards for optionals. Or how in the main campaign if you pass certain milestones, like a downed drop ship, the squads get automatically reinforced. Or you can include a Radio trooper with the squad to call in reinforcements.

That is so strange. I'll check again, however, I specifically tested and the hoppers did spawn with the objective.

Please try removing the folder completely from the Workshop folder:
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1202130\2932597682

Folder "1202130" is Terran Command
Folder "2932597682" is the mission folder for Restore Hope. Try unsubscribing, deleting that folder, and resubscribing?

I wanted to make a more detailed followup comment, detailing the issue, but there isn't much. Unsubscribed and resubscribed as instructed, cleared the map and did secondary objectives, proceeded with the main objectives, but after the prompt detailing how to catch a hopper nothing happened. No new objectives. No new enemies :(

Just tested, the objective to capture the hoppers still does not appear. Hoppers also don't seem to spawn on the map

Removed "Skip Hopper Bug" option - caused issues. Ran further tests and ensured mission was completable and make QoL fixes to the Hopper encounters.

I am not getting the objective to capture the hoppers I am not sure if it is because I have already explored the entire map. After the ok/skip option nothing happens there are no pings and no new objective the family and company get a drop ship and leave and that is it. I can move but there are no new bugs at all.

This is amazing feedback GMinyCricket! I'll see if I can reproduce the issue, you should only need to capture 1 group of hoppers - I'm curious if Saving and reloading is causing issues. Please reach out to me on Discord: LionStein #0944 and we'll get this resolved so you can finish! Either way you are near the end of the mission, so you can freely proceed to the next mission :)

To clarify, I have launched the flares pretty much everywhere where the Hoppers are. Under them, to the sides of them, on lower ground, higher ground, at their shadows, etc. Sometimes my snipers agro the hoppers by getting too close, sometimes not.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great scenario and I thoroughly enjoy the work you've done. I'm just trying to figure out if I've doing something wrong or if it's a bug (no pun intended).

Hey, I'm not using any mods, but I am using the beta mode (to access scenarios, obviously). To walk you through my steps, while keeping it as spoiler free as possible, from mission start, I do the following:
1. Fight from southern edge of map to western edge, do objective there.
2. Fight way to 2nd objective and have interaction with group there.
3. Fight way to 3rd objective, clearing bug hole along the way.
4. Finish 3rd objective, receive orders to capture Hoppers.
5. Set snipers to hold fire.
6. Move snipers close enough to pinged areas on map, where they can see Hoppers flying but not close enough to aggro them.
7. Fire sensor flare in the pinged areas.
8. Watch Hoppers aggro the flare then the snipers for doing their part.
9. Receive new snipers from drop ship, repeat process with new pinged areas.
10. Reload save and attempt again.

Hey Lionstein, thank you for the quick reply. I've attempted use the flare under the hoppers and at all 5 locations. I'm assuming the flare is supposed to go into the depressions/lower ground below the hoppers. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be triggering the capture. Is there a specific space within the depression to aim the flare?

Hello GminyCricket! I'm glad you're enjoying these scenarios! With the sniper on Hold Fire, you need to move close to the Hoppers and launch the Sensor Flare beneath where the Hoppers are hovering. If done right you should capture the Hopper!

There are 5 locations for Hoppers, so 5 chances to capture them, your mini-map will ping several times reminding you of where to go. I'll make the locations more easily found in a future update. Let me know if this helps?

I enjoy playing these scenarios! I am having difficulty with the hopper part of this mission though. Where am I supposed to direct them? I have the snipers set to hold fire and am using the sensor flare, but not sure where to go from there.
