Um, I'm not sure whether to report it here or to the RimSort devs, but the mod load checking seems to not get along with RimSort. It seems to append _steam to the mod package ID in ModsConfig.xml (a way to tell RimWorld to load the Steam version specifically?) and this makes More Mechanitor Towers think that the dependencies are not loaded.

Dunno if there's a better way to detect it, or maybe the way to go is to just put a notice in the compatibility info section. Just thought I'd post about it here.

You`d better add <disableImpassableShotOverConfigError>true</disableImpassableShotOverConfigError> to @Name="MechTowers_BuildingBase", it can block the impassable ErrorLog.

I tried to connect the towers to my gestalt engine, but the towers don't recognize the gestalt engine as a mechanator - using the gestalt engine from the following mod:

Can these be used to not have a mechanists and hook up mechanoids to only these, or does it still need a mechanitor. If it needs a mechanitor then can this be used with gestalt engine

@VictorLeGrande Turn on Developer mode and you should be able to see the error message as it triggers when the tower vanishes.

theres' a weird glitch going on where the towers won't be constructed properly and will instead vanish after being completely constructed

Just letting you know, there is some kind of major incompatibility between this mod and rim of madness vampires. Entire colony gets bugged and no colonists can move. I tested this with just those two mods as well as jecstools and rimterritory in my modlist (as well as all dlc). Should be pretty easy to replicate.

Posting log in Issues as well but wanted to leave this here to let people know

Are the bandwidth towers supposed to not give their bonuses when the mechanitor is on another map?

I'm asking because the vanilla towers do give their bonuses even if the mechanitor isn't present on their map

I think, that passive AOE recharge tower would be nice (like in androids mod + Tesla cannon in RimAtomics)

I did some more testing on this save and it seems like the bandwidth control tower gives its bonus if you uninstall it then reinstall it in the colony, now if this is a potential incompatability with other mods or if it is the mod itself it's a bit hard for me to know. I'm asuming it's on my end as the save i'm playing on atm has a load of mods (I forgot to disclose that before hand cause i'm a bit of an idiot at times.

But if it works as intended on your end then it must be on my end things are broken, hard to know which tho as troubleshooting for me would take many hours due to load times etc haha.

Just a quick question tho, I was under the asumption the Bandwidth control towers would work pretty much like the bandwidth nodes where you just "tune" them to your mechanitor of choice, mind if I ask why you choose the way you made it rather then essentially making a beefier vanilla bandwith node?

hey man quick question, when I select my only mechanitor in the colony as the owner on the bandwidth control tower, the assing button doesn't do anything, basically she never gets assigned, however I still have 5 more bandwitdth, I checked the console and by logs for any errors but there seems to be none that should affect it.

Am I missing something about the mod or is it supposed to be this way? (other buildings link like normally however.

Hey there, I wanted to slightly adjust the range values for the control areas of the towers in my download of the mod with a text editor. I am new to this though and could not pick out where the range value is. Would you be able to point me in the right direction?

Don't see anything wrong, maybe some of the mods is conflicting, perhaps one with hediffs patch.
May be some "YAHA" or AlienRaces.

Fantastic work. I believe it fits nicely into the niche problem that is mechanitors having to be near the action for combat.

@ProfileName We don't plan on adding any new functionality to our existing towers, but we do have plans for new towers with similar costs to these sorts of benefits upcoming. Good idea!

Perfect. Now I can get things working like hell.

Any possibility you can make the Bandwidth Control Tower also include the option to overclock at short ranges and a higher power cost compared to the overdrive beacon?

@Kaijp I agree, Sir Van did an amazing job with the artwork. I'm glad you like the method we took for balancing the clear benefits, I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea or not on paper alone.
