If you get around to updating the mod, would you consider adding a "themed randomisation" option so that creatures are only replaced with creatures of similar types (i.e. lizards with other lizards, leeches with other leeches, etc.)? Or make it so that the player can customise what specific creatures can be randomised into?

This mod causes constant and consistent freezes when trying to hibernate. I was doing a hunter run and got all the way to shoreline before encountering the issue, however freezes became more and more frequent to the point that it was impossible to progress past the subterranean gate as I could not get any shelter to save my game. I eventually switched to attempting a spearmaster run instead however the issue followed me through campaigns and I was unable to save anywhere after I got to the first shelter. Both verifying the game files and resubscribing to the mod did not fix the freezes, the only thing that did was well... not using the mod. I also tried removing sand grubs/worms and drill crabs as another comment had mentioned them, but that didn't work either. I have absolutely no clue what caused it to suddenly stop working after being mostly fine for like 2 hours straight but I would love to see it get fixed because at the moment it is literally unplayable.

okay so aside from an update to prevent potential soft-locking, this mod doesn't need to be updated to spawn in the Rot Lizards as they can randomly appear still in infected regions with the mod installed.

Glad to see that this mod still mostly works for the Watcher, but I've been running into a lot of game freezes due to watcher creature AI. When I checked the expectionLog after my last session, I saw IndexOutOfRangeException and NullReferenceException errors, which seem to have been caused exclusively by watcher creatures, which in this case were drill crabs and sand grubs. Not sure how you could fix this, but I really hope that some sort of solution is possible, as currently the Watcher campaign is a bit unplayable due to how frequently the game freezes up (what feels like every other cycle)

I'm going to install as many quality region mods I can find, that one mod that ads 31 new creatures, and use the three main randomizers (Room, Weapon, This one) on the hardest settings on a new save.

This mod is really fun and spices up the game a LOT! But the config to cap creatures per den actually applies to all, not just bats, leeches, etc.. It sucks when you cap it to 6, expecting to meet the same amount of Scavs, bats, etc., but end up getting 6 DDLs coming straight for you instead, & also blocking the area to progress.

There's also the option to randomize creatures per cycle, but even with that off so that you can keep the same creatures present in the current cycle on to the next one, when you die, it still randomizes them anyway, making this mod useless when paired up with the Room Randomizer mod.

So when you find a useful creature or one you want to tame in the current cycle, if you die, it won't matter anymore since that creature has already been replaced by a different one even though you haven't moved on to the next cycle yet. (And this WILL happen whether you have that option checked or unchecked)

Overall, thanks for making this! It's a great mod.

@HappyMaskCellar Mojosoup:If you disable the mod and want spawns to be normal again you need to create a file called "setup.txt" in the game's streamingassets folder and put "clean spawns:1" in it and then do a cycle and sleep before removing the file.

How do I revert spawns back to normal? Is there a guide for this "setup.txt" file? This .txt file is not in Rain World files so I think it's meant to be created and used for resetting the spawns...? I can't figure it out... otherwise, Installing this mod is a one-way trip. :steamsad:

@khansemu222 that's because this mod randomizes all creature spawns. you have to reset your save after using it to get the default spawns back.

if a creature like a Guardian spawns or a red centipede or a rot enemy then they will keep spawning in each cycle even without the mod

I had never tried this mod before, but I finally got around to it now!
When mixed with some other mods, this can really create an entirely new Rain world experience, incredibly well made mod and super enjoyable to mess around with! :)

But I think the better option is just not using the mod on saves that you don't want to get funny'd up.
