This character is awesome but probably should get strengthened. Mainly because he's so much slower than most of the other characters. Still pretty rewarding to do setplay with and alter people's movement with turbulance

Tornado Spin is absolutely unmanageable. Invulnerable damaging superdash that can instantly mix into an even higher damage normal combo.
Pair the two to end the round without your opponent getting a single nonburst action!

This has cool vibes, not-sonic-boom feels great, but tornado spin-> nashi with minimal bar and you've just made multiplayer into a solo game, and that's no fun.

Hi there! Tempest worked fine for me for a day or so then all of a sudden he started showing up as null and my game crashes if I try to play with him

Back at it again with another patch, with a solid fix being Temporal Uptime. No longer will you have to worry about your orb lasting a bit too long.

Dropped a small cleanup patch to fix some issues that were plaguing Tempest. Mainly the longer than normal idle and Temporal Orb not disappearing on block or parry.

Super fun character. Gotta be my 2nd most used character out of all the characters. I love turbulence, gives you a lot of control. And the temporal orbs can make for some super interesting gameplay. The supers look very clean as well and the combos are very nice with this character. 10/10.

This is certainly a great character, very fun! Gotta say, a friend of mine claimed that Tornado Spin comes out faster than a grab. Not sure if that's true, but some insight would be appreciated!

By non intractable I mean they are still visibly on the screen, but they cannot hit the opponent and therefore it can't go away.

That is definitely a bug I have definitely not seen. Thank you for letting me know! I'll try to look into it and try to reproduce it. Do you mean the orbs where not interactable? If you happen to know what might have happened to get this bug, it would be appreciated greatly. I was planning on putting an Orb resource to show you how many orbs you can have on the field at one time but the UI would constantly bug. Still working on it to try to get it in there!

@Flashwire I totally agree with the DI point, I hadn't really considered that. I also didn't realize how nasty Mana Strike is by the numbers lmao. I'm glad to hear that you're appreciative of the feedback, however!

And while I'm at it, I wanted to bring something up that an opponent suggested the other day, then a bug. They suggested making Tempest's various resource management visible, although I personally understand if the intend is that it's supposed to be something you just have to know. And the bug, idk if it's known, but sometimes the orbs will stay out and be non-intractable. I haven't been able to keep track of what's going on before it happens because it's somewhat rare, but it takes up one of Tempest's orbs.

@Ash Gray The DI modifier on Gust pull is amplified to 1.3. Any type of DI will adjust it to not pull as hard inward, with DI down completely shutting the move down entirely. For example let’s compare Gust pull to Mana Strike. Mana strike comes out on frame 5 and can be FCed as a check and around 10 frames of endlag if you miss. However, it trades these options to having a smaller hitbox and a less adjustable DI modifier. Gust Pull comes out on frame 9 with no FC window which means they have to commit or whiff cancel and take away their burst option in a combo with 12 to 15 frames of endlag. However, Tempest gets a bigger hitbox. It’s one of those burst options you have to be aware of in the neutral and l truly appreciate your detailed feedback and analysis. I’m still currently looking over it as l definitely don’t want to add more startup to the point where it’s not worth using.

I think the only problem with this character is Gust Pull. For a move that pulls towards you and is disjointed, I genuinely think it starts up a touch too quickly. This is me speaking as a Tempest main and fighting game player of many years. It's definitely an important part of Tempest's kit and I don't think it'd be a bad idea to make it that quick IF it doesn't pull inward as much, but ultimately what's best for the character balance in my opinion is just making it start up a few frames slower.

Other than that, genuinely amazing character! The normals feel great to use and the specials all feel super unique. You've made Tempest a very fun mid-long range setplay zoner and I think they might be my favorite modded character in the game next to Susanoo (As a Blazblue player and Susanoo main, I'm biased). I really hope to see more characters from you!

This character needs a pretty sizeable nerf. Basically a jack-of-all-trades that does everything very well. You actively have to TRY to drop combos with him and tornado spin is too strong of a move. He's beatable but way too many tools.

All of his projectiles are blockable/parry-able. Tornado Spin is also parry-able and can be blocked. You can even clash with it if ya want to. Jumping over it is a common option and even rolling through it can suffice. Appreciate the suggestion.

After playing with him for a while with another pal and a few other mods

I feel like he's a bit too busted

he can space really easily and defend himself quite well with his utility

plus the fact his projectiles are unblockable

and his spin tornado thing (that also acts as high mobility and extreme close quarter dmg) is a bit too much (atleast make it parryable or blockable xD)

his stlyish af ngl with all his fancy looking stuff

but this guy needs some serious rebalancing and maybe a few new moves to compensate for some giga nerfs on other skills

like rather than having the Spin Tornado move he does to move around and deal unblockable dmg

maybe have it as a seperate stationary skill where he slashes the area infront of him the same speed as he would in the spin tornado move and spin tornado is purely just mobility

OVERALL GREAT MOD MY GUY but yeah needs some balance work xd.

Tornado Spin does not have armor. It is projectile invulnerable. The amount of distance it covers could be considered as a burst option you have to be aware of if you’re too close. You should be able to react to a raw tornado.

Love the character, but I think turbulence still needs to cost more for what it offers - also, I feel like tornado spin is absurd between the distance covered and armor. That aside, thanks for making him, easily my favorite character mod.
