I'm sorry to hear that and I hope this small explanation can be of consolation.
Lots of physics objects bumping into each other seem to be very taxing for the game, requiring huge computing power and introducing lag to even high-end computers.
The two mechs in this campaign are made of physics objects tied together, which will introduce lag as I mentioned. Now, while I did not encounter any lag in my playthroughs, I understand that this can happen as it happened to me in other campaigns that had a lot of objects crashing into each other.
I recommend lowering your graphics settings and disabling any physics-enhancing addons like explosion addons and stuff like that.
