i like mods like this, but i don't think its working correctly for me. for my 108 idling infantry, I had 47 unassigned factories but I was not making any ammo and had been out since the beginning of the game (After the fill-em-up event at start)

@Not_DrArtur - When I have time I'll try to make a compatibility patch since that is a popular mod. In the meantime, what you can try to do is simply copy and paste this:

ammunition_capacity_k = 100
daily_ammunition_gain = 200

under the infrastructure line in the arms_factory section in that mod's "00_buildings.txt". It should look like this:

arms_factory = {
show_on_map = 6
base_cost = 7200
base_cost_conversion = 4000
military_production = 1
icon_frame = 2
max_level = 56
shares_slots = yes
value = 8
infrastructure_construction_effect = yes
ammunition_capacity_k = 100
daily_ammunition_gain = 200

@Not_DrArtur - What mods do you have enabled? This is the file that usually attributes to most compatibility issues? \common\buildings\00_buildings.txt

Hm, interesting, from the mods that change buildings i only have a mod that modifys the cost of logistics, and no other mods that add new buildings or changing arms factories or something. What could it be?

@Not_DrArtur - It does work. Read the description, specifically "Compatibility - Pretty compatible with anything that doesn't modify buildings". Then, check to see if you have other mods enabled that affect buildings.

A little advice; you probably should've done those checks before leaving a comment that makes you look like an idiot.

@styx - Interesting. No need to stop there as that can be applied for artillery and tanks as well. Effectively, ammunition consumption rate would also factor in the technology level; higher tech equipment consumes more ammo. I can look into that and balance accordingly.

would make sense to bind infantry ammo consumption to the type of weapon they use. if everyone has a tommy gun consumption differs from everyone having an m1

* Increased the cost of offensive combat from 1.75 to 2
* Increased the cost of defensive combat from .75 to 1
* Lowered the amount of ammo gained from Military Industries from 500 to 200

Right now I have done some testing and cutting it by 5, it works well but ammunition shortage is more frequent, but still manageable

I have a suggestion : Maybe reduce the ammunition output of military fatories because we are always full of munitions
