Hinders the winds of magic.. just like quiet wears fishnets and bikini because she breathes through her skin. It doesn't matter if there's a justification, it comes down to preference for realism.

Screw the lore, this looks great. She looks like such a carebear in the game.

guys there are lore reasons why casters dont wear armor... it hinders the winds of magic to be controlled by you and only chaos and a few other races are able to wear armor and still be a good caster and you also you try to wear clothes that attract your wind of magic for example beast casters wear antlers and shit

So where are your mods covering up the male characters then?
Or are you only scared of women showing *gasp* shoulders?

You literally have a whole faction of half-naked '' viking '' men in diapers lol.
People only pretend to care about '' protection '' when it's women...
Meanwhile game is filled with men wearing less

Could you please add a version with her crown back? That would be perfect.

Thanks everyone for the insight! I'm obviously leaning to the armored Allarielle side, but like some already mentioned everyone can choose wether or not they'd like skin or armor. :)

@Strider009 it's honestly similar to settings like dungeons&dragons. even leather armor seriously limits the magical energy/mana they can absorb and channel, resulting in a bad tradeoff. i'm just making numbers up here, but 40 points or so of armor woud result in maybe having half winds of magic, and heavy armor woud make things even worse. mages that can't cast spells properly are kinda pointless, so they have to deal with stepping on the battlefield without real protection if they want to make a difference.
btw i'm not against mods like these. mods don't need to be lore friendly.

Very nice

Thanks, Ill keep an eye out for it!

Don't beat yourself up about the ponytail... that thing is obviously an act of Tzeetch.

I get its warhammer lore that in general magic users don't wear armor. But I would think that they would. Battle is chaos. A well aimed arrow, or even a stray one, can kill. Other things are spears, javelins, artillery fire, and shrapnel can all injure or kill. Even archers in our history wore light armor. Combat engineers and combat medics of modern warfare wear armor. In warhammer it doesn't have to be full armor like armored knights, even leather armor offers some protection for vital body parts. That's why I like your armor choice here, it's light to protect the vital areas from the simplest of attacks. The cape addition is awesome too.

my tabletop days have been a long while, but i'm pretty sure teclis had no armor save back in the day. as viji_he said, armored mages are supposed to be a rarity in warhammer. chaos armor being the most prominent exception to this rule, but also a few magical pieces like malekith's armor, and for some reason the blood dragons.

Eltharion isn't a trained mage, he gets his magic through the Talisman of Hoeth.

Teclis may be skirting the line, actually. The tabletop model clearly wears robes, but it looks like CA maybe went a bit overboard with the design so I'm actually not sure if he's supposed to wear very ornate robes or there's some actual armor ,in it.
It might be worth noting that Teclis in general might be among the characters CA took the most liberty with. He's supposed to be very frail and hate riding, I don't wuite remember if he could even get a horse on the tabletop. CA decided to give him a phoenix.

@Fauxsteel I tried shrinking the Ponytail (it's actually still in the modfile) but it seems to mess with the rendering of the game so her hair had all kinds of dark spots etc...
Unfortunately i had no luck bringing any smaller version correctly into the game so i had to stick with her vanilla hair.

@Green Raven thanks, shouldn't be too much of a hussle maybe i can work something out in the next days (since the armor is already complete)

@viji_he Appreciate the kind words, and no problem it's actually interessting to know why the developers (probably) choose to keep her in the dress, which now makes sense! Just out of curiosity so Eltharion and Teclis are considered "battle mages" or got that skill and for that they're ok to wear their armor ? :)
[TK] viji_he 17 Feb, 2023 @ 2:37pm
In warhammer table game you are not allow to wear armour and do magic... with few exceptions like Chaos armour or malekith armour or if you took a Skill named batlle mage... thats why they dont wear armour...
anyways... this is only a explanation of Lore becouse people is wondering why... i not try to cancel the mod, looks very cool! thanks for your work

sexy good
Strider009 17 Feb, 2023 @ 1:04pm
Been waiting for someone to put her in some armor. Really nice look I think.
Wauthan 17 Feb, 2023 @ 12:21pm
Heh, I really like this. Never made any sense why Alarielle would head into battle wearing a dress. She's not "mythical" creature like Ariel or The Enchantress, or trying so seem seductive like Morathi. She would put on armor like her own handmaidens wear, at the very least.
Green Raven 17 Feb, 2023 @ 11:32am
Very, very cool. Can you gear up her Handmaiden's to match?
Fauxsteel 17 Feb, 2023 @ 9:42am
Cool mod. Fitting now that Chaos is littering the toilet. Try making the ponytail smaller or a submod? idk
