No no, I said I never felt integrating such a system was important enough in the sense that I didn't feel it would yield to much actual value compared to the far simpler and more reliable radar only solution. My builds are far from simple, but I usually try to keep things pretty functional, and then just try make them pretty on the second round of development.
So yea, I just felt it was too much effort and complexity for too little gain in function

you saying you never felt important enough to use it? dont ever discredit yourself like that first off mate, and honestly this is definitely the best easiest craft ive used in this game
if your saying lidar system wasnt important enough then that makes sense. was just wondering if it was like a setting in the radar setting or something.

So no but yes. In short, radar cannot detect land; only people, (loose) objects, and vehicles. However, there are system out there that use a parallel lidar that can map landmasses (using lasers) onto your radar display. However, I have never worked with those systems yet, since I never felt all that important (except for coolness points)

question, i dont know about building at all so this is purely question. woiuld it be possible to make it so the radar detects all objects not just vessels? such as land.

Im having the same issue. Boat literally done endless violent rollovers and it came out of nowhere, i was going to rescue a boat and in some rough waters it did all sorts of flips and rollovers

as far as i know, i had passengers onboard, it was a bit windy, and i think a bit of water got into the cabin from the initial rollover, then it quite literally spiraled out of control from there. the only thing i can think of is there maybe was a deceased in the medical bay, when the issue first arose. it would act up again after small tsunamis would hit. i cant think of anything else that happened initially.

Well, if you can pinpoint anything about the cause maybe I can replicate it, but as long as I cant replicate the issue I cant fix it

couldnt determine what it was, all i know is i picked up some people and then the boat started freaking out and would do random stunts even though all engines were cut

also would like to add, now the boat is having random tendencies to start doing random things such as endless rollovers, flying away at the lightest breeze, and just random things out of absolutely no where

nvm, it somehow decided to do it as soon as i said something. do you think it would be possible to build a dry dock using the oil rig for this and your other creations?

Dont worry, I love improving my crafts where ever I can. As for the triangulator, it requires you to cover a bit of distance (not at max speed preferably) and preferably not directly at the transponder signature. You should see the progress increase pretty fast if you drive at 100-150 vaguely in the direction of the mission zone

thank you, if you do or dont doesnt change my thoughts on your craft, one of the very few SAR vessels that is user friendly for game purposes. thank you for even considering it in the first place, im sorry, i probably sound like an ass, will probably be my last thing to say. i already feel as though ive tried to ask for to much, thank you again and have a good night

@killerwolf The ship already has a transponder locator, activate it in the right of the cockpit, the screen is on the top panel. As for the turret, I will sleep over it, might put a small turret on linked to the commander cam, I will have to think about that a bit. But probs will be manual targeting either way

they are but suddenly a helo will come out of nowhere and screw with me, also could you add like a transponder locator to the radar or no? i was just saying for automated defense against the random helos coming at me for the turret. it can be a simple CIWS, or maybe not simple, im sorry idk. dont get mme wrong. one of the very few craft i love to use in this game

Manned would be pretty doable, unmanned is a bit difficult, frankly I have tried working with ballistic computers before and failed many times, so not sure I could pull it off now. Any specific need to have that though? Are the rifles not enough?

Had to go check myself, turns out there wasn't one. So I just added one between the funnels under the winch! Switch is next to the winch controls. Hope it helps!

Cant find the diesel hose hookup on the ship for fueling external ships. Am I missing something or is not there one?

you mean turn left and right? Just sit in the right seat and use A/D while also giving it some thrust, should work just fine when. When stationary you have to use the maneuvering thrusters to turn without moving forwards

Hello, I have always liked your ship, so recently I feel that my skills are finally good enough to make a replica of your ship.
I've been working on it for the past few weeks since you've been here and I want to make it bigger(A little bit), faster(At least as fast as you claim) and Maybe better than your ship
It is still a very wip now
But I want to ask you if I can post it to the workshop after I finish it.

Great ship, really nice. However I have the same issue where the autopilot doesn't advance to the next waypoint. I have done it exactly as described, but it shuts throttle and stops at 1st waypoint. I use it at 70% throttle, speed is around 118kph. Not a big concern as it still works with 1 waypoint.

Yes, the limit is about 145 meters if I remember correctly. That is simply due to the maximum length of the winches I used

Does the anchor have a depth limit? I tried to drop the anchor in like 200-250 meter deep water and it wouldn't deploy at all.
