that does not work. it just uses both meeper and CSM as the shadow reselution settings conflict.

I found a way to remove the default shadows:
Download csm (dont worry you wont use the shadows)
Enable it
Now set all cascades to 0 (this will remove sunlight so go into meeper settings and set brightness higher)

Splonk, Its a Source Engine limitation. I have that problem too but I cant solve it so far.

theres parts in construct and other maps were theres light or glitches on walls/ the lighting is going through walls like a line on top of the tunnels in construct/ basicllly lighting is weird, help to fix this?

Any way to change the sun's height? on some maps it's kinda broken because there's more map above the map so the ground of that map shows up as shadow on the main map

Now just make a mod that makes every texture 2048x2048 for the people that can handle that i would turn down the texture quality to get it to 1024x1024

FPS mostly depends on the rendering distance. Set it to 4096, or 2048 if everything is deplorable

that sounds like the filter actually, source engine shadow filter is usually pretty grainy on nvidia gpus only i think. mine does that too

sounds like it cant even make the projected textures, im not sure what could cause that so i would test any lighting addons you might have

i tried with the settings you put in the description in gm_construct and the shadows still don't work properly,everything just becomes darker

maybe try changing the bright/dark settings? if not i would guess that there are too many shadow casting lamps on the map since the default limit is only 8

something like that, i couldnt find a way to get the lighting angles from any light_environment entity as a fallback either. whats annoying is even if you spawn a sun editor the angles dont work if the map doesnt have an env_sun in the first place.

i assume not since this mod adds a projected texture thats attached to a env_sun and since some maps have none it picks a default path on the X-axis?

i think thats caused by the map creator not placing an env_sun entity. im assuming csm just guesses the sun direction if one isnt present but it would probably look incorrect either way if there isnt one

now that i think of it, is there a way to fix when the shadows are completely horizontal? it's 100% map dependent but csm never has this issue and was wondering if you knew of a fix.
