its quite easy for the piston part you just get that actuator thats like a hinge then put the piston behind that then boom

how did you make the side rods you see i can make side rods but not the piston part also i build trains

its nice seeing more builders doing steam locomoties, also a way you can also reduce wheel bounce is making the weight accurate to how it is irl and making the drive wheel suspension a bit soft so it doesnt launch the entire locomotive

the best way to make this wheel bounce work even at high speeds without derailing is to put glass wheels in between the drive wheels, the wheel bounce will still happen, but it wont derail. similar how seanorse did his decapod.
