Idk if you're still updating this but I'd love if you added sprites for the rusty & blue armored skeletons, as well as a sprite for the paladin.

In that case go to the Addon's files and dig out the sprites that you don't want to replace, fortunately it will still work, the only sprites that won't be shown are the ones that you've removed.

Can we get a version that doesn't change items? I enjoy it but I would like to have the option to make it so only that which stays in the dungeon is affected.

\/ I haven't tested this, but I think you should be able to remove the textures you don't want.
Try going to any game's Steam Library page, clicking on the gear to the right under the banner, going to Manage, then Browse Local Files.
In the File Explorer window now opened, look at the top where it says "steamapps > common > Terraria", click "steamapps", go to the "workshop" folder, then "content".
Go to "105600", then "2936617217".
Go to "Content", then "Images".
Now you should be in the folder for this resource pack, where you can remove the textures you don't want.
Again, I haven't tested this so I can't say if this works or not.
