Has the bug that makes every player get stuck in place when anyone uses a rebound pointing key been fixed?

Hi! Very sorry for the delay, I had some health things come up.

Both the keybind resetting bug and the pole jumping bug should be fixed by the latest mod update, v1.2.4. (They were actually the same bug!)

For the DS5 controller issue, I don't have one myself so it might be difficult to test, but I'll see if I can fix the button mapping for it.

I'm having some problems with this mod after restarting the game. I have a bind jump on [space], I set the hand gesture to [RightControl], but after I restart, when I do a backflip, the slugcat starts pointing with his hand instead of a backflips.

I've been having the weird jump/grab bug as well, my map is [C] jump is [Space] and rebound point is

glad to see there's a workaround though since I couldn't figure out what was causing it for so long (X_X)

For some reason, I have to reset this rebind every time I open the game. I rebind it to , (comma), and upon game startup I need to go in, rebind it back to default, then back to comma for it to work

For some reason, when I jump on a pole, it doesn't make me jump, but offsets me and all. Just to let you know. So whenever I jump, I actually fall and must re-grab the pole, usually vertical.

unsure why, but i cant bind my ds5 controllers r2 trigger? it binds to button6 which is L2, and if i try again, i get 1button6 which "disables "any game input after leaving the jolly config menu i have to restart the game, at which point it remaps back to button6
thoughts? (only had guardian and jolly when testing this)

and maybe a feature request while im at it; would it be possible to implement using the right analog stick for pointing? (i mean like, not holding any other inputs, just directional inputs from the right joystick)

Thanks for letting me know! I haven't seen that bug before, but if I can reproduce it on my end then I'll get a fix out as soon as possible.

Which keys do you have bound when it occurs? (Specifically the map, jump, and point buttons)

I keep having the rebind reset itself (but displaying as if it hadn't), which is rather annoying, since I use [space] to jump, and the game interprets it as me trying to point instead. It occurs every time I close and reopen my game. Is there any way to fix this?

Nevermind, the issue is with something else. it could be the new patch, pullup fix, rebind everything, or less likely but still possible improved input config or fast roll button, or on a very small off chance, firmly grasp it

this is causing an issue with singleplayer coop emotes where it removes your ability to jump off of poles. the issue might also cause part of staminer's hud to always show up.

good to know, i always noticed that when i ate a jellyfish it also caused quick and short lived freezes, a fraction of a second, every chomp at the jellyfish, it seemed to crash 2 cycles later after i fed my pups jellyfish

It looks like that 'key' exception actually came from the blood mod as well.
The error happened when the mod tried to find the colour that's set for jellyfish blood after you ate one, but after looking into the mod's code a bit it doesn't seem like jellyfish actually have a blood colour defined anywhere (hence the error).

There's also third exception at the bottom of the file that might be coming from the HP bar mod, but it's a bit harder to tell.

You're probably fine leaving the mod enabled if it's only getting a bit confused by jellyfish, but if it starts causing problems elsewhere then it would be good to disable it yeah, at least until it gets updated.

its most likely a mod incompatability, i use T, it worked fine before, but recently it started doing that..

I can maybe think of one thing that might cause that behaviour, but if it works after you put in another one then it's probably something else.

for some reason, it doesnt register the keybind, just uses space, until i set it to something else and back to the keybind, only then does it work

oof sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I think this patch broke the mod! I get this error from Guardian when trying to load the game "Failed to call orig on PostModsInit"

Hi there! Seems the mod breaks when paired with our 16 player mod Myriad. If you want to check how many player profiles are available, you can reference RainWorld.PlayerObjectBodyColors.Length (it's 4 in vanilla, but can be up to 16 with Myriad)

I haven't had any luck reproducing the issue on my end unfortunately; it's all working properly for me.
After you try to bind a key, does anything appear in an 'exceptionLog.txt' file in your main Rain World directory? If so then that would show where the error is coming from.

Yes. The mod is designed around the version of Jolly Co-op included in Downpour, so it isn't compatible with the old standalone release.

@Yoyobub Ive Found that Ps especially DuelShock controllers don't like to work with games like this idk what it is I might be wrong but you might try a different controller

Hm... It's probably not anything from the controller then since that one should work fine.

Since it just randomly stopped working like that, my guess would be either that another mod updated and a conflict popped up, or something went weird in the installation of this one.
I would normally suggest disabling and re-enabling all of your mods to see if that 'resets' it, but if you've done that already then I'll try see if I can replicate the bug on my end and go from there.

I take back what I said, when I opened the game again it didn't work. I've verified the integrity over ten times now, I've set the controller, refigured the load order. Every time the files are verified it finds one mod that needs to be removed: this mod. This mod also breaks the dress my slugcat mod if it is loaded before it. It still refuses to accept controller support.

There's a bug that only allows me to assign keyboard keys, not controller inputs. Which makes this unusable for controller players.

I've just tested with my phone and it doesn't seem like they work together, although if you do want to try using both then I'd recommend giving it a go anyway in case I missed something.
