In my opinion: 5.5 or 6 of 10 points.
The map has many problems... Which I would prefer not to repeat and hopefully improved in the others...
* e.g. too large maps (its my main problem), more deco, cover..
But I would still say it is completely playable and even fun (at least me and my friends :D).
and I currently also intend to remake the again and then make them smaller and put even more love in details.

Hey man, maybe you can help since reddit and google haven't turned up many results. In Essence Editor I can't get it to show the actual map, just the graph line looking things. Is there a way to view the actual map itself in there?

Yes, unfortunately, I also noticed that afterwards. Unfortunately, if I would change that, everything would be broken. But I will expand the map with more buildings / cover and much more.... Then it will no longer come across so :)

@Wanderlust - Thank you for your bug report. I am not at home today. I will fix it on Monday :). Yes, I have seen it many times. Many objects in the editor have no textures. I'll check it and hope I can fix it. Tomorrow you all will get a fix :3 (As well as the stone fix).

@Cobus - I'm new to the editor, but I want to try it out tomorrow :). If you have another question, just ask me :D Otherwise, yes there is currently a mod with the unit limit.

Surprisingly, It plays just like achelous with a fresh coat of paint, just without the small farm structures and camps on the side islands that you could use as forward bases by garrisoning them with Wehrmacht.The US still doesn't mind it as much in 3 cause of their air drop abilities. The airfield was an interesting touch since we can't use the old assets of the campgrounds they had on that side.

So as for bugs: On the airfield, when the game put me on the bottom I noticed that one of the rocks is hanging off the ledge some. The fuel tanks from the African campaign that you used on the airfield aren't textured which just made me scratch my head how that would even HAPPEN Since the same assets are used MULTIPLE times in the game. That's all I noticed from 2 Ai matches on it so far.

Hey, thanks a lot :D.

I have since Saturday just started to work with the editor and as you said... no tutorials. That's why I wanted to create one first, that others have an easier start than me.

And you are completely right, the maps were absolutely beautiful in details. This I would also like to create. The editor is unfortunately with some things really difficult to handle. And there are unfortunately only a few building models, as you said, that makes it much more difficult. E.g. small wooden houses would have been nice. Maybe I can figure out how I could build my own houses (models).
But I try to expand and beautify the map every time. I wanted first that you first have a "start-point".
And with your feedbacks we can always improve the map constantly. :8bitheart:

it still needs work, the originals of Lyon and Achelous were beautifully detailed and the land and terrain itself was beautiful and believable, but operating with NO tutorials and figuring it out yourself? Not a bad first attempt at it!

The building and bridge design clash of course with the aesthetic. But as far as I know there's NOTHING you can do about that until the modding tools expand and let us make and import models, new buildings, etc.

I've got all your maps so far and it's a HUGE leap to see how you improved between this and middle bridge. Going from one building on each side, to a city, to now a forested battle royale chokepoint map.

Thanks. I will do it! With the community can certainly create really cool maps from scratch or just remake old ones.
I will update maps as often as possible and perfect them. It makes me a lot of fun to experiment with the editor. :8bitheart:
