I should note that there IS a patch for Spearhead available.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=779520435
In the meantime, check out these patches covering CUP faction uniforms and CUP BDUs .
This is how the line reads for clarity:
"faction[] = {"BLU_F", "BLU_T_F", "BLU_W_F"}; // shows this value only for selected factions, identified by their A3 code (optional)"
ACEAX doesn't supports units or vehicles and I'm not sure how it would. That's beyond my ability to implement anyhow. I just make patches.
In the meantime, there are patches for CUP BDUs and faction uniforms . Sadly that's all. No weapons, headgear, facewear, etc.
Just to be sure, did you also check stuff like VR suits, wetsuits, and pilot outfits? They should have CSAT variants as well as AAF/LDF variants. If all faction variants are available then that'd disprove my prior theory.
every other uniform was accessible, except for Ghillie and Full Ghillie, which I can only see "NATO" in the Faction selection; vice versa for a CSAT character unable to access NATO ghillie suits.
Further in East Wind campaign, Within Reach, I start out with CSAT fatigue and tried to access ghillie suit, but found that the Faction selection to be completely empty, and was able to only access the MTP and Tropic NATO versions of ghillie and full ghillie.
Tested with ACE and my own mod (to allow arsenal access anywhere), issue still occurs...Im not sure if it is caused by my own mods, but I don't think I have touched ghillie suit themselves...
It might be worth opening a issue regarding it on the ACEAX GitHub [github.com]
If you do want help with looking for ACE medical items and tools though, I suggest Improved Ace Arsenal Category . It adds new and customizable tabs for medical items (self-explanatory), survival items (food and drink), and for tools (entrenching tools, toolkits, defusing kits, etc.).
you dont happen to know if theres any ACEAX mod that groups stuff on the right side too?
for example having "Blood bag" listed once and then fold out to show reveal the options "250, 500, 1000"?
maybe that isnt supported in aceax as the stuff on the right side functions different from left in that you take multiples of those to put inside the other stuff?
just feels like a nightmare when you pick a 5.56 weapon and try to pick the rounds you want from a list of 2 billion magazines. would be neato if there was a mod to categorize that side and have collapsing categories. like "AP bullets" "Tracer bullets" "Ball bullets" etc. Or one for "ACE Medical" that you could open/close to reveal the rest.
but thats probably not within scope of aceax.
For example, I have not grouped together the KH2002/Katiba variants because none of them differ through camouflage or other superficial ways. Instead they differ in being carbine, underslung grenade launcher, and standard rifle variants.
I don't group them together because I don't want to obscure significant mechanical variations for people skimming over the list they have available. This same principle applies to other families of gun with mechanical variations like the MX series and QBZ-95-1/CAR-95 series
You do remind me though that I should probably group together the different optic variants of the ADR-97/P90 to maintain consistency with my other patch.
this video is how to add a key file. Anyway, thank you for your quick answer.
And now my patch for RHS is out! It doesn't cover all the weapons (nor binos) yet but I plan on doing that soon.

However, I could help teach people how to create their own patches manually. I lurk on the official ARMA server and am reachable through there. Name is the same.

Any chance you're able to make it happen for the RHS mods? Now that'd be awesome on top of this.
