It may be that you're at the wrong oil rig. There's many throughout the map. You're looking for the one with no platform/equipment on it, I think.

If I were to make another ship, it would be grandeur of the seas. That one would fit in the default workbench.

the adventure of the seas is great i went on it i think in 2018 ish but the oasis of the seas is BEUTIFUL. can you make the oasis btw it would be awsome

yeah, I went on a couple weeks ago. How hot was it in the summer? It was PERFECT on my trip, 65 - 80 F the whole time

No. I did build the ship to sink nicely, though. You just have to shoot it or something.
