This is a great mod. Thank you for creating it and allowing the customization of the water. It works great for making small canals. I'm trying to create a small pond or a moat and have to put columns in the ground or foundations to get it to snap. It works but doesn't look that great. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make it look better? I'd love an invisible foundation block we could place to get these to snap properly. Any mods that might have something like that?

Mod id can always be found at the end of the workshop page's link in the top left corner. Simply clicking it copies the id so you can easily paste it into the DS launcher for example.

This mod will still function on New Age. It's not a mod I spend much time on, but I'll be giving it an update soon just to ensure stability and possibly give it new features.

great mod, super simple and great idea, just wish the water could connect to each other instead of a foundation for bigger pools, but still an incredible mod

I'm a nobody when it comes to modding, but I know that water is one of those things that's a pain in the anterior coccyx. Thank you so much for giving us the ability to build glorious bathhouses with high-quality water pieces!

Hey there, I wanted to ask if you might make it possible to move your water-options window around or use ESC close the window. Currently you get stuck in the options screen until a relog if you use Hosavs UI Minimap in the upper right corner, because the X is beneath the minimap and you can't get out of the window any other way. I imagine other minimaps might cause the same issue.

what about flight runtime? if flight was changed swimming animation? in single player creation mode the player can enter a flight animation. maybe programming a block with zero player barriers, a fog texture, a sound trigger and a animation change with a slower movement and finally if player enters block fly animation equals true. I'm obviously talking from ignorance but I would love to learn this stuff. but Im just saying that maybe there is a possible work around if builders were okay with swimming in the air.

DevKit does not allow swimming blocks because UE4 does not allow water volumes to be created at runtime. It is stupid thing... any volume can be created at runtime except for water volume. Funcom had to write a workaround just to enable placeable water wells - kinda drinking volumes - just an usual volume tagged as "water".

I wouldnt try to do the swimming part if you do then i suggest doing overlapping event , with an array checker. Though if you know your code well ... you might do an experimental shaper to extend and create one large voxel growing like overlapping for swimming ... but rn Ue4.15 is not happy to do that rn. I know cuz i did it once years ago ... and its just not happening ...

Swimming is bound to a physics volume, which is baked into Conan levels. Blueprints cannot create physics volumes. So I can get a player to swim, but unfortunately the entire server will also swim because I'll be modifying the default physics. In other words, I'll have to find a way to 'fake' swimming which will take time.

what about copying the foundation block code and then patch in the water coding into it. its probably not that easy as visuals would be so odd. copying some of the coding from the data files would be maybe more fruitful but thats way above my education level. and like you said after 50 hours thats a valiant effort.

The issue is that water cannot function as a building piece, at least without some workaround that I’m trying to figure out. Foundations take the collision property of the first building instance, thus if I made a structure with no collide water, it could cause issues with players falling through structures.

There’s a reason swimmable water isn’t easily doable, otherwise there’d be plenty of mods for it. People have tried, and I have spent close to 50 hours without success. Call it Conan limitations.

Unfortunately, thrall walk on top of the water whereas we walk through it. You cannot make water that animals or thrall stand in for any reason.

well thanks for the consideration, I'll try to figure out what I did wrong and that would be great aphrodite if someone did make functional water as a building component for making cool oasis like structures and even hidden passage ways.

CarsonTheOneAndOnly You can't remove it with the hammer, you have to do it by manually interacting with it. If that is not working it's not the mod, it's probably a conflict with some other mod you have, I can easily remove water on the server i moderate.

cant delete or move water . its just a skin and not a voxel box which would be much more usefull. when removing the mod it corrupted my save, it was well described as to what it does, but not being able to remove it as an object was very frustrating.

Does this have a water source, such as a faucet, waterfall, pipe, etc., that can placed to use with one of the waterfall props available in the workshop? I haven't been able to find a mod which adds these pieces, and it might make sense to have them in this kind of mod, if possible.

Just downloaded it and tried it on my server. Works as intended it is just a skin. The hammer will not delete it. You have to delete the piece its anchored to for it to be destroyed. Going to play with it not sure I'm going to keep it. Needs to be reworked to be more than a skin.

HELP.....I wanted to make an actual pool for my building. unfortunately this is only a skin. whats worse than that is it takes the place of a physical asset which means you cant even build over that mistake. is there something in the admin or console controls that would help me select and delete this problem? as a side note? what are the chances that an actual water cube voxel the size of foundation could be in the game? one with actual swimming physics.

I was just testing this mod along with some others for the update and it worked fine for me on the Exiled Lands map in single player mode.

Is this mod compatible with the Savage Wilds map? I can't seem to figure out the correct load order if it is compatible. I've tried placing it before and after Less Building Placement Restrictions, but it doesn't seem to make any difference, it still crashes my game. Most of the mods I'm running are new features (Better Thralls, Thralls are Alive, Edit Appearance), building (Desert Town, Northern Timber, Sand & Stone) or things like clothing and placeables (Beyond Decor: Rustic Edition, Immersive Armors, Fashionist, Savage Steel). Let me know if there might be other details that would help.

Had an issue yesterday where when I opened up the config it blocked all my inputs and the window was not removable anymore. Pretty much like Busta -Case- had it mentioned before, but Hosav's was not in the way, nor the F1 trick.

I see that everyone here has had the same problem trying to escape the settings. I had to use the Task Manager twice today. Thinking of unsuscribing but is this because of the Hosav's minimap getting in the way of the X?
