does have an error message if used in repentogon and you have disabled some sounds.
my guess is repentogon has a seeded sound for each item because when it works it is always the same sound.
my question: is this fixable?

this mod is great, but there seems to be a bug where the music doesnt cut back in after the sound effect plays. it just stays silent until you leave the room and re-enter

Two bugs. One, the sfx plays whenever an active item is used in a room without items, and 2, the sound effect overrides the music for the room

Lowkey very dang good mod. Certainly makes me laugh instead of feeling empty whenever I get a bad item. Not sure if you keep updating it with new sounds adding in. But it will be awesome if so.

As much as I've tried. It just doesn't work. I see it in the mod config, and testing the sound effects works. But whenever I get a tier 0 item it doesn't play any sound effects. Just the regular "item find" sound effect.

For some reason it affects the Soundtrack Menu mod. It won't load any of the song packs other than ones this mod comes with. When I'm disabling Sound Effects for Bad Items, it fixes and manages to load other song packs.
Because of this issue, I have to keep that mod disabled.

I seem to have run into an issue where a sound effect plays whenever I use an active item in a room with no pedestal items. Maybe the mod should also check if there's item pedestals in the room at all?

Firstly, the reasoning for all items on the list is included in the descriptions. For krampus' head, it is because it can replace lump of coal which is a passive = always useful, whereas krampus' head isn't always useful if you already have a good active, and in its place it is eating up an entire devil deal, so it can be a pain.

Secondly, Krampus' head isn't even disabled by default. Its an OPTION, but its actually off by default, as i understand most wouldn't find it detrimental.

Try at first disabling all mods except this one, mod config menu pure, music mod callback, and MC_POST_ITEM_PICKUP callback, and see if it works. If it does show up, that means another one of your mods is conflicting with it. Keep enabling more mods until you figure out which one makes it disappear, and then i can help you from there.

Make sure the sound mode at the top is set to "Custom", not "All". "All" Overrides it and will select any sound. "Custom" will allow disabling X sound to work.

Fixed a bug relating to reloading the game with different mods, where the sound effect IDs would get shuffled, which made it play completely different sound effects. I swapped the reference in the code from using the "ID" to just using a string, and then finding the ID using that string.
As a result, all config options will be reset this update. Sorry!
