I see a possible issue - players can now set their fuel level to 0, which results in the engine failure (before you can only go to about 800L or so). Leave about 500L of fuel. I'll update the briefing slides in the overhaul update.

Every single mission, T-55 works, any twin engine plane immedietely starts with "Left Engine Failure. Right Engine Failure." On any mission, any slot, any plane that isnt the T-55.

Absolutely loving this aside from that though, the music, voicelines and mission briefing are all bringing me back to playing this on PS2 years and years ago.

You have no idea how excited I was when I saw someone hosting this last night. I grew up on AC04 and 5 and I have been waiting for a remaster for years. Never would I have thought I'd be playing this in VR. I do wish there were more of the ambient voice lines from the original (your allies calling you out by name over the radio and just generally being excited to see you), or the radio transmissions of the firefights on the ground, but this is still incredible.

Amazing that the briefings are intact with the same music, and even the loadout music too. First time I heard "Operation" play during a briefing, I was grinning like an idiot. Thank you so much for this.

I do wish the timers were more forgiving for solo, would be really cool to be able to edit this.

This mod absolutely slaps. It's delightful being able to bring in 10 multiplayer randos and introduce them to the glory of Ace Combat lmao
Also, having 10 players seems to be the only way to beat some of the... heftier missions (bunker shot, tango line, farbanti, etc)

Love the campaign man. Never actually played AC4 but you did really well on it. Played it last night that someone had hosted. Are planning on doing the AC5 campaign in the future?

Wow, this was really fuckin good for what it is.
These were the only issues I ran into soloing every mission:
-Few missions' timers were barely forgiving for solo play - notably the oil refinery mission and the one with the sub bases+airbase(s)
-Multiple missions' fighters respawn too quickly, especially those two aforementioned
-The mission to protect the civilian airliners sees enemy fighters spawning too close sometimes leaving no time to deal with them before one of the airliners is shot down
-The penultimate showdown with yellow squadron (in mission 17(?), the one over the city) is slightly bugged and the 'main' fighters are invincible up until all of the drone fighters are destroyed
-The last 'generator' on the final mission doesn't set a waypoint properly, and the escape waypoint has slightly too tight of a trigger radius

Thank you. The target values were not set for the Global Value Objective, and it worked just fine in the beta testing branch. I'll roll out a patch here in a few minutes.

would it be possible to disable the mission timers? absolutely love it, but with a group as small as mine (max 3 people, not many have VR) its difficult to get anything done around mission 4/5 because of the timer and needing to dodge missiles constantly

ran into a lot of glitches with this mod when I tried running it with a friend today. Mission 4 didnt have any special missiles besides QAAMs, and me and my wing man kept getting spawn killed at the start of mission 5 since we had basically no time to set our aircrafts up (master arm, radar visor, NVG, mfd's etc) before we were killed by an enemies we couldnt see or evade because they spawned practically on top of us.

Forgor to add this to the patch notes: The F-45s are disabled for the time being due to a game bug that prevents replenishing munitions in internal bays with infinite ammo on. Will re-add when fixed.

Excellent work! The nostalgia is real! Can you revisit the mission timers, though? I'm doing a solo run, and mission 5 doesn't have enough time to complete by even half. On Mission 8, I got an original voice line saying 6 minutes to launch, then failed the mission a minute later due to time. (Unless something else happened? It was pretty hectic at the end)

Time-to-kill is much longer in VTOL VR, but I get having timers to push people to the objectives. I just wonder if there is a sweet spot for us solo players as well.

Yes, I have plans to add the EF-24G to the campaign taking the role of the F-14A in AC4. It will have the new AIM-54 Phoenix missiles as the XLAA. There will also be a complete rework of missions that have radar interference/jamming to utilize the new EW mechanics.

You can play solo, but it supports up to 9 other players (10 total)

Awesome campaign, Farbanti was beautiful in VR, I hope the megalith issues get resolved but otherwise 10/10 campaign been following it since the 6th mission. At this point I think I've played this campaign more than actual ace combat 4

Played this with a couple friends of mine. Stopped first run at Blockade. Campaign is absolutely excellent!
Only complaint so far is that the constantly spawning fighters in Blockade would shoot us down (fine) and then start spawncamping us (not fine). Issue seemed to be the groups spawning too close to us too soon, so after dogfighting one group in our spawn, the next would appear just outside, ambush us as we tried to leave, and then travel into our spawn as we rejoined the fight.
It resulted in a very frustrating cycle of [spawn - get a few kills - die - spawn - kill wave -leave spawn - die - spawn] again that was not at all fun to slog through. I eventually solved it by disengaging the fighters, outrunning them, and hunting the last transports.
The mission was balanced fine, I think, just that the enemy would camp our spawn. If there's any way to keep them out of there, that would probably be the only fix necessary.

I never had an issue with mission 4 I just used my allies as cannon fodder as I shot down the transports like the actual game

Someone should really create an ace combat group and put it in the VTOL discord's #communities so there is a group who can consistently run this campaign and hopefully others like it if they get made

Its more fun in multiplayer you just have to get lucky and have people join sometimes it takes a minute or 10

OH GOD I REALLY APPRECIATE UR WORK!
Currently doing solo run, M1~3 have been easy, but M4 was painful because enemy fighters infinitely respawn and spawn kill me.
I've found soloing M5 is impossible because of time limit + infinite respawn enemy bogeys.

It is hard to find one to play with in MP, so can u please convert it SP (with less target and no enemy respawn), so people can enjoy solo as well?
