I am crouching and then using the slight hop from turning while crouched to do so. Is there an easier method?

make sure you have the right start-off inputs. its reasonably possible to guarantee 2-3 (depending on the type of flight) frame inputs, but its less easy to guarantee 4 then 2 then 3 frames exactly to start it off(or whatever is required)

Just a headsup, got a weirdo freeze here and there, and upon checking the output.log via Rain World Try Catch, I see it ref Beastmaster and Physics Speed. Perhaps some sort of tangle between the two? I dunno.
I have also found this to work reliable if I turn off Dev Tools. So simply pressing the O key (O, as in Omlette du Fromage) and with the assurance that the yellow text in the middle of the top part of the screen is gone. Then mashing A and S furiously as that stupid centipede had no reason to seriously come after me. There were plenty of other corpses this game hates me.
