I will try to reflect it in the upcoming DLC compatibility patch.
The 'modern' PRC in China. Full state control, state owned businesses, limited free enterprise, but state ability to fully control said capitalism. Also known as 'Communism with Chinese Characteristics.' After Marxism requires an industrial base, to be able to operate post scarcity. Lenin, Marx, Stalin, and the rest believed in the revolution with the workers who operated these industries. To stop the income it generated going into individuals, and instead back into the workers.
Maoism, skipped the workers of the the industrial state, and went straight into the peasant class, the workers of farms. Then allowed a little capitalism to kickstart industrialization, then they maintained the capitalism, and stagnated at the pre communist, pro capitalist stage, just with an authoritarian republic in control rather then a monarch like in Europe and Russia.
