I really enjoy this mod. Especially for scouting and trading/procurement.
Would it be possible to increase the area even further? Maybe even just a console command to set a multiplier between 2x (current) and 8x or even 16x.
I understand that it would decrease the performance of the Captain UI.
This mod only affects the area, which in turn can affect the rewards too but only because more sectors are visited.
If you want better rewards you want my other mod from the description:

I've tested with the mod enabled and disabled. It worked the same both ways. I tested with an explorer captain after, they discovered far more sectors as expected with and without the mod enabled.
Are you sure you're not just using a non-explorer captain? Not every captain can discover every type of sector so it can appear as if they're not doing anything even though there are visible mass sectors on radar.
My mod doesn't touch the scouting part of the scouting operation, only the function which controls the size of the area. I also tested it again anyway and it worked normally. You likely have a conflict or other issue.
You're correct, that should by a Y. I've fixed it now in the affected files. Thanks for pointing it out.
I didn't notice the issue during testing as it actually works regardless, even though it shouldn't. Basegame scripts likely ensure the values are equal to the highest/X value to keep it square. I don't remember off the top of my head though.
-- Ensures the resulting value is an odd number
X = utilities.makeOdd(X)
X = utilities.makeOdd(Y)
Shouldn't that last line assign to Y instead of X?
The mod is already updated for 2.5.2, it doesn't need an update. Try unsubbing and resubbing as Steam may not have updated your local copy of the mod yet.
The hotfix didn't touch anything related to the mod, it'll still work fine.
Let me know if anything doesn't work as expected, I don't believe the update touched anything I modified but sometimes I miss things.
I didn't encounter that particular error myself. If you're editing one of the files from this mod then I'd probably need to see what you changed to help at all. Just changing the X/Y values directly shouldn't cause any issues though as far as I know. I'd test it on a new save each time though as I'm not sure what effect it'll have on an ongoing save with ongoing missions if you change it mid-way through.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Thanks.

At the same time, I don’t want to make Mining / Salvaging harder to control with a larger area, or make Scouting scouting slower and chunkier.
