Yes, not upgrading the battery can avoid some possible problems. If there has been a situation where the reactor does not work due to an upgrade, you can manually adjust the reactor to charge the battery to restore it to work. Do you have links to the mods mentioned in the description? Mostly just the UAV and Lift cabin. and if the lift cabin is just the decor for the ladder shafts, then just the UAV.
