@Mr. Newb McMuffin this doesn't seem to be needed anymore. I checked and compared the weights, and it seems this mod would actually mess things up now. So use just more personalities and bug branch together, without this mod.

@Maty83 Tried without the base AI personalities and got the same result. Not a single one out of 20. I think I will just give up on bug branch. New ethics just cause too many issues. It doesn't even spawn machine empires, clearly there's too much incompatibility with other mods.

Unfortunately with the recent changes I am not sure if the overall AI logic hadn't changed. And since you're using it with the base More AI Personalities it seems, try without it. The description explains why it is present.

Anyhow, if it turns out incompatible, I will try to look at it at some point, no guarantees when though.

Not sure if it's still being worked on, but didn't work with current bug branch/spawn bias. Not a single out of 20 other empires had personality from the mod. I've tried it twice in various combos, but nop.

It should, but there might be fallbacks to less specific personalities if bug branch has expanded its personalities again. Not sure, and unfortunately I don't have the time to check.

It hasn't been updated, but it should work without issue (Unless new personalities got added, or the format for personalities got changed)

The whole thing is there to read where you find All the AI personalities. There are quite a few with above 1 agression from a quick look, but equally there are a lot of them which are at least slightly before. then.

okay thank you for the response! I guess what I'm wondering then is if More AI Personalities fixes the issue in Stellaris of more aggressive personalities / ethics. That why I wanted to load 'No Ethics Spawn Bias for Ethics & Civics Bug Branch (3.8.x)' mod

If this mod is loaded after more AI personalities, it will overwrite it. But it is not a necessary component since I rewrote it anyways.

Load it past all the mods which modify personalities, then it's the safest.

i did try messing in the 00_ethics vanilla file by changign the weight of each government type to 0 exept dictatorship, i also tried the same concept with the personality traits where now all had weight =0 exept my custom one, then a classmate of mine told me about the initializer files and now i'm completely lost again :steamthumbsup:

You'd need to mess with Vanilla files. Specifically, setting the Egalitarian ethic to factor=0 and every government type except Dictatorship to factor=0

i wanted to make a mod where all the AI empires were dictators, not necesserly identical, just dictators. would i still need to pre-make each one of them?

Outside of pre-making all the surrounding empires? Sadly not. AI personalities shift dynamically due to civics and ethics.

No, due to differing IDs this will not work with base Ethics & Civics.

@GlitchFling108 There should't be anything new added as far as I am aware. This means I am waiting for cybrxkhan's update of the original mod to change something major. It SHOULD work, but I will look at it on Tuesday (Due to certain issues my time before then is rather limited.

Okay, small update....

The MSI personality override currently is the same as the MSI personality in vanilla (You can check by going to 00_personalities.txt in stellaris' common/personalities/00_personalities.txt and the mods' file under the same sub-directory.

Which means I don't believe this mod should touch the MSI personality at all. it also has a 8980+ higher weight than even any of the genocidal civics. Try running the test with only this mod and Bug Branch.

By the way, this mod is provided fully intact for faster load-times. Meaning you do not need More AI Personalities in the modpack, but it does link to the original to give credit to cybrxkhan as the author..

Okay, mod will be updated in the next couple minutes. Interestingly the Hippies DID have the restriction on anthropocentric.

I suspect steam downloads are wonky again. Delete the mod folder and then unsub-resub to fix this.

@Mithrax Good catch. I'll update later, RN I am in the middle of a playthrough.

Metalheads actually spawn now BTW, you need to combo xenophobe, materialist, industrialist and the necessary traits (Very Strong also works).
Do you think they should overwrite purifiers.

Ah, and here is the kicker!!!
At about line 4500 I just went "F it, I am making sure the civics align and will just work on the complaints later." There is too much to fix there and it's actually possible to go mad.

The hippies and the nonaligned preservationists are able to spawn with anthropocentric ethics. I think since the bug branch adds the environmentalist ethics scale it would be appropriate to make "some degree of ecocentric" a prerequesite for them.

I remember the last time I went on a Stellaris binge, all the peaceful traders and ruthless capitalists and I never realized that this was caused by Ethics and civics. I'm not sure, but if I remember correctly it's always been this way, even with ECC before I picked up the bug branch. Thanks for fixing it!

Mod had been updated for the latest version yesterday. Note that due to "Interesting Paradox mechanics" the has_trait check is currently broken in the base game apparently and only works off of the base species template (E.G. Aquatic may not trigger Hydrocentric if modded in later on and Metalheads can persist without Industrious). THIS IS NOT MY FAULT.
