I'll have to talk with Ebon about the client-sided thing since I don't really know how that works. I have an idea on what happened though and it just has to do with the goofy way it was implemented so I'll see what we can do there

Hey, is there a reason why this isn't client sided? I tried to join a server that doesn't have this mod on it, and it disabled it, meaning the mod has to be on both the server and the client. I find this odd, since all it does it change the music right? Anyways, I really enjoy this music and would appreciate if you could make this mod client sided so I can join servers with it without it being disabled. Thank you!

It being a mod just allows for more flexibility such as setting different loop points, adding extras, etc. If people want a version that's just a resource pack so that they can add it to base vanilla I could probably make that at some point.

that's cool and all but... why not make it a texture pack
like yknow you can replace music with texturepack and not mods and it would probably be easier then making an entire mod and also be accessible to have this music in vanilla?

is there an option and/or mod to have the game alternate between this soundtrack and the original soundtrack every time the track plays? it would be interesting
