Put the nametag on the other side of the jumpsuit and make orange red and you got a pretty decent cosmetic referencing the comics. This just seems like bait which is a shame because it doesn't look half bad otherwise

Ram the teams are Reliable Excavation Demolition (RED) and Builders League United ( BLU). The fuck would an orange team stand for? The problem is that the red version isn't red it is orange, while yeah you can tell that he isn't blue and RED does have orange and BLU having yellow they aren't the main colors.

The teams are RED and BLU, not ORNG. No cosmetic should confuse you on what team the player is on. Now, it's not a bad idea, if it was a darker red, then hell yeah, but as it is, it needs some work.

Because it isn't immediately red just like the rest of the red team. It sticks out like a sore thumb and it can be confusing in the heat of action with flames going around, rockets and other particles in the mix.

If they can make it a darker red, then hell yeah, I am in for it, but as of now, it just doesn't work well.

This is great. I don't understand why people think this is too orange, like nobody is going to look at this guy and think "Oh, that's a blue scout!"

Not a fan. Full body cosmetics don't work well, especially if one color. As previous comments mention, orange is not a good replacement for red. Its not an issue of he's not BLU, its an issue of he's not RED.

This cosmetic is well made, but does not fit for Team Fortress 2.

Having accenting elements that are warm colors are fine, but you should not recolor the entire player model to something that isn't red. It violates the fundamental design element that is RED and BLUE team. The issue isn't recognizing that he isn't on blue, but the fact he isn't RED

It's still very much a warm colour, which is better associated with the colours used on the Red side. Blue does have orange, but that one's more of a saturated yellow compared to this one and that side's usually designated for cooler colours.

I think you should tint the orange to be a little more reddish, since randomly making Red Scout orange while Blu Scout is still blue feels kinda weird

That's the problem though. It isn't red. It needs to be red because it's the red team, not the orange team or red-adjacent team. Hence why it's inappropriate with its current color.

Even if this isn't red, it's still very much so a bright red-adjacent colour that would feature prominantly on Scout. If he turned a yellowish-orange on the Blu side, then that'd be an issue, but GG kept him a very vibrant blue for the opposing team, which I think is a good compromise for an item like this.

You should make a loadout preview that includes the Long Fall Loafers and a Lack of Hue painted Hero's Tail. That will make Scout look kinda like Chell from Portal, due to the orange color (well, at least on the RED team).

It looks more red or reddish than straight up orange to me.

Anyway I think the cosmetic is really cool, and I'd like to see something like this for other classes like Spy and Heavy too

Cool concept but inappropriate execution. Team coloration should be maintained as red and blue. Variations in shades of red and blue work fine, so long as they aren't too drastic of a shift, but coloring the entire player model to orange is far too much, despite it still being a warm color.

I think the change in team colorization does work, but I kinda wish there was still remnants of red on RED. Like perhaps the pants could have more of a red tint to them near the gradient? Just a thought.

I'm open to this cosmetic though because after all, Orange is a pretty established color for RED team already, even if it's usually limited in most classes besides the Engineer.

Honestly I think this was a pretty clever way to make this concept work; yes, it's a very drastic change, but he's still a Red-adjacent colour for one side and still very much Blue for the opposing one, so there is still team recognition going on here.
