Imagine not dodging incoming fire from a static poi or positioning yourself where you can take fire from drones in the first place, or thinking steel would make a difference against a poi plasma blast. If your shields go down you're doing it wrong, and a little extra armor wouldn't help you if you're getting hit that much.

Razgaur if you prefer park tanking POI's to strafe fighting more power to you, use the replaceblock command and change it to whatever block type you want...

I'm a big fan of helicopter like SV designs!

@jrandall Yea I tried all that. Ship looks nice but that's it. Not practical with CS/shields against POI's imo.

Thank you SmallVally, Razgaur, and ProcyonLotor! @Razgaur, We used it to take down several POI's including a drone base. You just need to get in range, use the plasma to take down a shield, back off before your shield goes out, let it charge, repeat until shield down on the POI then pick off the defenses or go for a kill move blasting thru the POI's hull to hit the core (if possible). Of course trying to strafe a lot and avoid getting hit some will help out with this too. But I found that steel blocks really do not make it tougher. Maybe against some ground troops, but they disintegrate the same as carbon if any POI turret hits when your shield is down as they do far more damage than what a full steel block has in hit points (120). It really is all about the shield and keeping it up while doing POI's. Well, that is the strategy of this creation at least. And thanks again all!

You must be playing on easy level or be a superior pilot. This thing may look nice but its a glass canon. I could barely do a POI with drones floating around. Tried hit and run because shields don't last long. Would of been better if made out of at least steel.
