Report a translation problem
You can check if any other mod has the file 00_species_archetypes.txt, or has any other files in common\species_archetypes.
The easiest way to do that is to go to steamapps\workshop\content\281990, and search for 00_species_archetypes.txt
If there is more than 1 file, that is why it wouldn't be working.
The only this this does is change the base value for machine, bio, and robot trait picks. I have used it with machines myself, though have not used it recently.
i tried few mod that add point and trait pick but they all break the machine/robot empire and block them from being able to be build !
