I'm not on discord. I avoid that stuff, always have. So that's not going to happen unless someone is kind enough to help me port them through a open and free source of communication like steam chat or steam forums.

I have all my old missions, I haven't ported them all because I don't consider a lot of them worth porting with lua. If you need help in porting old missions ask on the bz1 discord channel, you can ask Herp for an invite if you are not already on.

~YG~Ssuser? I have old v1.4 instant action maps I'm trying to convert to work with this version of Bz. Some of them were created by you. I don't see all of them I have on your workshop here. If you'd like the files to convert them I'll be glad to get them to you or if you would be kind enough to help me (learn how to) convert them I'd like to see them here on the workshop so they can be enjoyed again. Glad to see you're still around!

There are no time limits on this map. You'll need to learn to edit lua if you want to disable timers on other maps. Or edit the time variables in the mission odf on vintage maps.

Is there a way to disable the time limit on maps with time limits? Sometimes I just want to play w/o time pressure, sorta like half sandbox play

Please keep it up, I love playing IA maps all the years later, after snatching BZ off the shelf at fry's the day it was released....Looking forward to your next map release/updated for redux. If I had the money I'd pay you to do it as a full time job ;)

Yep, you NEED the firefox in this version, at least until the alien CCA power supplies are down. the Command building thing was to ensure players would have to go after the firefox, to make the alien powers vulnerable, or else you could just day wreck your way to victory, which would be sort of boring. In the old 1.4 version it was actually possible to get in there with a tank and kill those alien powers without ever touching the firefox, which sort of took away from the mission, IMHO.

I had to wait until the CCA recycler clears the corner then I have seconds to kill the escorts before it fails me for not killing escorts before ambush point. Took several tries but finally made it.

Unfortunately I started day wrecking everything, including the command tower and fury in the "hidden" base, before I realized I needed them intact.

It seems the fixed terrain was not in the upload, due to the idiot game saving it in the addon. Put all the latest files in and double-checked, try it now. Any further pathing problems I would like to hear about.

I kill the escorts as soon as I get the chance, but after that I had to use F9 to throw the recy through, after that I didn't encounter another bug.

huh, we ran that multiple times and I changed the terrain 3 times to overcome that problem. I don't know why it's still happening. The only thing I could do would be to rip up the canyon entirely.
But I had no problems with that, in the finished mission. Are you guys killing the escorts WITHIN that twisty part? If so, what you should try is running straight back and killing the escorts way back by the map corner, before you get to the turns. This is how I play it, and the recycler always makes it through.

same as tomcat14's problem, yes, the CCA recycler does get stuck in the canyon turns close to the ambush point.

Unfortunately the CCA recycler is stuck in the canyons, apparently near the beginning of it's run. I arrive, take out the escorts, but it does the usual dance where the canyon walls narrow a bit and refuses to go through. Visually it appears there's plenty of room, but nonetheless it balks. I've tried ramming it many times in all different directions to get it unstuck, but no joy. This sux, I was really looking forward to playing the map.

Updated the lua script 3/17, the CCA defense grid should behave in a more stable way now.
