NotAimee, I think the guy asking what level you need means what aim level you need to be effective. Every gun in this game has a certain shooting skill you need before you're actually good with it. For instance, shotguns often need around aiming skill 3 before you become very effective at killing zombies. The M14 usually takes around 6 levels, and I think the M16 needs 8. Not sure about the M16.

oh sorry, I wasn't referring to the weapons in this mod, I was referring to if you could edit most of the weapons in vanilla or VFE or Guns of 96 to be just slower, less rate of fire but more accurate and the damage is fine, I don't remember why I said that, maybe at the time I was using very hard zeds hahaha, thanks for reading with less rate and more accuracy , take TLOU fights as a reference.

I'm not sure I fully understand the question, because you can start using it at any level.

Though probably it'd be best to be at least 4-5ish so it's less likely you miss most shots; I guess.

Hi ElGranCristianYTOfficial, thanks for the feedback. However this mod is working as intended, as far as I can see. Please look at some IRL footage of the guns performance on maybe a YouTube video and you'll see I've tried to match closely as best I could on how the gun actually handles. Most notably the reload times. As for it's damage I believe it's high enough for the gun category, any higher and it'll be absurd levels like a sniper rifle damage output.

I most certainly can. I'm just currently on a hiatus due to personal obligations at the moment. will resume modding possibly late August/ early September. Just one key issue with your request, I haven't dabbled into editing animation keyframes so if I do make the gun it'll most likely not line up with the player model when aiming. Hopefully that won't be too immersion breaking for you when I resume. Thanks.

Hi uogamer79,

So I've troubleshooted the mod looking for anything that could be affecting it in the code and also spam clicking myself with over 500 rounds each by clicking and holding down fire. I've concluded it's probably a mod you're using that is affecting syncing, because everything is working as intended on my end at all levels of aiming skill as is shown in the example video. If you're using any mod that modifies any .xml or .lua files related to weapon handling, that may be the cause.

You can kinda spam click to shoot as fast as you want almost. In my experience, it isn't like it is in the video you've presented, but maybe there's some mod I have that does it. In any case, I still use this mod anyways because it's awesome. Keep up the good work

In regards to your hammer statement, I'm confused by what you mean. Is it like the timing is off or do you mean something else entirely? Because I just popped on to make sure, and it seems to be functioning as intended on my end for lvls 1-10 aiming skills scaling all having the hammer pulled audio pulled before firing.

Hi John Henry Bonney, thanks for the suggestions. Though I've taken a little pause from modding for the time being until my next big holiday break, I will say I have actually looked into adding other western firearms as potential releases, the main problem currently stopping me from potentially releasing said weapons is the dire need to get custom animations to work as intended and for certain lines of code to not break while I'm troubleshooting them. For now your suggestions are noted and may be for consideration at a later date.

Hi teckqq, glad you're enjoying my mod. Though as a disclaimer my mods aren't specifically made to be compatible with other mods made by other creators. And I don't think this one in particular would cause conflicts. But perhaps It's best that if you're indeed going to risk trying, perhaps creating a copy of your save file and test it with the copy first and see how it goes.

Hello KD6, your mod looks very great and I love that I am able to use this weapon in the game, however before I install this mod into my SP world I need to know if it works with a B41 Firearms mod, I think it should but I will ask anyways because I dont want to glitch my save

Acho que uma ótima ideia seria adicionar a arma nos calibre .45 Colt e .22 LR, com a .45 Colt com um dano absurdo porém raro de se encontrar, por ser uma arma lenta de se carregar deveria ter um dano alto.
Poderia adicionar também mais armas do velho oeste (1880), como a Winhcester 1873 .44-40, mais modelos da Colt SAA 1873 e o revolver Colt Navy 1851 no calibre .36
Apenas sugestões, seu mod está ótimo, gostei muito :spiffo:

I've just did a lil digging to know you're right about reloading it being a slow process and moreover with 10 neighbours trying to tare you apart. Now, it's a fine gun and a great mod to leave it sitting in the base because of its performance in dangerous endevours. If you can think about making it slightly faster when leveling up reload skill, it whould make it both enjoyable and usefull in-game. I apreciate your willing to listen your mod users! :steamhappy:

About the sound, I've watched videos and you did a great job importing the sound to the mod. I ment it was a bit louder than any other gun, too loud, let's say vanilla guns are at 50%, the revolver both reload and shooting are at 10% louder but that's my pov, don't worry about that.

Hi ProtecTron, thank you for your insight and kind words.

In regards to your issues with reloads, I did initially intend for the firearm to act accordingly to its IRL counterpart so it realistically shouldn't be able to reload any faster than it does by design.

However in regards to you issues with RoF I've gone and fixed that. I can change this because it'll just be the user gets better at pulling the hammer faster.

-Turns out there are so called dead spots in some lines of code. Kinda similar of an issue I had when someone previously mentioned the firearm couldn't be holstered so RoF should now be fixed.

And finally about sound, what specifically is the problem is it too loud, too quite? I'm no sound expert by any means but I'm certainly open to fixing this issue the best I can.

Hi there KD6! I really like the gun and all the great coding to make it spawn just right, not too common nor too scarse. But here is the thing: its reload time does not pair with user reload skill. I've tested this with a few survivors, all diferent skill levels. Seems like the revolver reload speed and RoF is separated from the user skill and it doesn't change accordingly. Also, sounds might be a bit higher than vanilla/modded sounds, making it feeling a bit off...

SoloWingPixy - I've gone and renamed a few files to hopefully remove the previously mentioned issues, In future total compatibility with other creator mods other than mods I've created won't be a priority or guarantee as it's not practical to check every creator mod that I have no control of. Hey SoloWingPixy thanks for the heads up, unfortunately the lever action mod you mentioned is not made by me so it's probably conflicting with said mod due to similarities in file names. I did look into my files to see if I may have overridden one of my gun models accidentally but it seems it's all in order on my end.

I have a problemn, I run this with your other Lever Action rifle mod, and the pistol spawns, but uses the model of the lever action rifle for some odd reason.

You got any plans on more guns? Not necessarily gun packs, but guns like these that come in singles. Would be a great boon for players like me that doesn't want to have to install heavy gunpacks to get the gun I want.
