Sadly, the latest update broke the decision to find the amulet. An update would be greatly appreciated, this mod is a staple on my list.

I know this is a imperial mod but it would be cool if it was changed to be humans instead of Imperials who could get the amulet. The thought of a Nord Raider coming from the north and then becoming Dragonborn is really cool

Is there a way to add the "hidden trait" to a character, so they can put on the amulet?

Still working for me didn't test any of the Aylied decisions and I only played for about 50 years so it could cause problems later in the play through, but so far so good.

First of all, i had to say that i love this mod. The mecanics it introduces allows a great deal of rp s many thanks to you!
Just a quick question, would marrying a member of the Cyrodiil / Solsidor dynasty but not taking the name bring the dragonborn hidden flag to the offspring of such a union or is the mecanic tied to the dynasty of a character?
In the same way would a child having the name but not being one by blood (secret bastard or adopted into those dynasties) have the trait?

I can't seem to get the Coronation event to fire on my heirs. If this because they aren't dragonborn or is this happening due to a potential issue with mods I'm using?
balde 8 Jun, 2023 @ 3:52am
Sup, just wanted to say that I love this mod and almost no cyrodiilic playtrough I do is complete without it. I also wanted to ask, if I wanted my character to be 100% dragonborn without being a Cyrodiil or a Sosildor, how could I make the event work for sure? Like is there a command to make me a dragonborn?
average redditor 4 Jun, 2023 @ 4:50am
so like what are requirements to becoming dragon born like is there a piety limit
Crux 30 May, 2023 @ 1:17am
Hi there, loved the mod, however i took the throne as the cyrodiil's, and my characters father before i took the throne was wearing the amulet; but my now emperor (son/current character), is not wearing it and your event id fix isn't working? Any other ideas, thanks in advance.
Detergente 29 May, 2023 @ 5:32pm
Is there an actually way to wear it without being of the Cyrodiil dynasty?

I've had to implement a new method for AOK displaying on characters. This will cause AOK to not display on characters in saved games (new games are fine). To fix this in current save games, launch the game in debug mode and type the following into the console:

event ekid_dragonborn.0004

Dragonborn overhaul note/update:
The new update transforms the Dragonborn trait from a directly inheritable one to a 'hidden' trait, activated through a coronation event when an heir inherits the amulet. It's passed from the real father, potentially revealing unexpected parentage.

Falling to 'sinner' piety erases eligibility and inhibits passing the trait. Current Dragonborns are unaffected, but their future offspring won't inherit the trait.

Existing save games should adapt, but the coronation event will act weird until a completely new generation of heirs is born.

@WO1 Thanks for the comment. I think issue was primarily caused by how the EK2 team implemented the amulet's visibility and was noticing it myself as I tested further. I've made a few updates to how the dragonborn trait is handled and how the amulet displays on characters and have tested this implementation over a few hours today and it appears to be working well. Please let me know if you continue to see this issue after the update.

I've also removed the EK_artifact claim interaction, that was a little experiment that was accidentally left in.
Dread 12 May, 2023 @ 5:06am
I also noticed that there's a EK_artifact claim list as a option when clicking on any ruler
Classy Clubs 11 May, 2023 @ 3:11pm
I likewise noticed a few months into a new save made yesterday that several characters, not all, suddenly had the amulet of kings appear as their default jewelry. Love the mod btw.
Dread 11 May, 2023 @ 11:03am
Hey, so I'm not sure if it's this mod or a conflict with another, but when i was playing this morning I noticed that everyone had the amulet of kings on. No one actually had it, but I noticed this after you updated the mod. It could very easily be on my end, but just wanted to say something just in case.
Chickenrikke  [author] 10 May, 2023 @ 6:45pm
UPDATE:

The latest version of EK2 (Eye of Magnus) mentions implementation of the Amulet of Kings, but as far as I can tell in code there is still no process for obtaining the Amulet or making it wearable. There IS, however, a wearable model of the Amulet that has been added to EK2 which I have implemented to work with this mod.

Official EK2 devs are likely to come up with a solve for obtaining AOK, but as of right now in EK2's code I am still seeing comments like "for when AOK implementation is complete." So for now I am continuing to update and maintain this mod until an official solve is implemented.

Please let me know of any errors anyone runs into with the new EK2 update as I've done some brief but not extensive play testing.

new EK2 update has Amulet of Kings in the base mod! RIP
Chickenrikke  [author] 5 Apr, 2023 @ 6:51pm
@Roayer Yeah I'm still working through how dragonborn chances / descendants of dragonborn and all of that works so thanks for the suggestion! Currently as it stands dragonborn is just 100% inheritable if your character gains the trait.

Also if the amulet stays on, you get a claim on the Imperial aisle which I think is a good compromise vs. getting a claim on the Cyrodiil Empire itself. Also if the Cyrodiil Empire isn't formed, it doesn't really do you any good to have claim on a title that doesn't exist.
Chickenrikke  [author] 5 Apr, 2023 @ 6:48pm
@Drippolini You can acquire the amulet from any heritage, as long as Sancre Tor is within your realm. "Trying on" the amulet decision is only available for Cyrodiilic cultural groups at the moment. Religion is only relevant for Ayleid decisions.
Drippolini 5 Apr, 2023 @ 12:55pm
Do you have to be of Cyrodiilic heritage or Reman Mysteries? I was wondering because I was an Akaviri with Dawn Court.
Roayer 3 Apr, 2023 @ 5:38pm
First off great mod really enjoying it especially cuz the reman restoration is my favorite playthrough and this is perfect for that start.

Just a suggestion, I made a trait for a personal mod called dragonblood that works like the sayyid trait and something like that might work for your mod where perhaps "dragonblood" can "turn into" dragonborn or something or give a greatly reduced chance for the amulet vs dragonborn. Kinda like the Elder Kings 1 system sort of. You could also have a successful amulet decision give an unpressed claim on cyrodiil or something since being dragonborn would probably in lore give a claim on the empire but idk that might be OP.
TheDoctorFat 23 Mar, 2023 @ 9:40pm
@kandrwmrtn Ah didn't know that. In that case yeah maybe giving Attrebus an elevated chance is the better option
Chickenrikke  [author] 23 Mar, 2023 @ 9:38pm
@Dwuzl No, it only works if you are a member of the Dor Dynasty as the mod is today. To be honest it's just because I wanted a working version of the mod sooner and this is much easier to implement in game code than the alternative.

I have plans to work on dragonborn trait inheritance in general at a later time & this will also include changes to who has more potential to be dragonborn by default (including being of House Dor / Solsildor / decendents of it, etc.)
Chickenrikke  [author] 23 Mar, 2023 @ 9:30pm
@TheJewishGaymer I'll reconsider Sosildor for default dragonborn (I might still make their chances slightly elevated vs. the average person, but will probably adjust it down from 100%). The main reason being that way right now is they are related to the Cyrodiil dynasty through Attrebus's mother.
Dwuzl 23 Mar, 2023 @ 12:51pm
When you try to wear the Amulet of Kings, if a member of the Dor Dynasty marries into your family and you play as their descendent which would be part of your dynasty. Will you still be able to wear the amulet?
TheDoctorFat 20 Mar, 2023 @ 8:56pm
Also, could you change it so Sosildor isn't Dragonborn by default? I feel it works better if they have as much of a chance as much as anyone else to be Dragonborn
TheDoctorFat 20 Mar, 2023 @ 12:08pm
Is it possible to have the decision be based on "if_exists=disabled"?
Omega 17 Mar, 2023 @ 10:54am
Sounds good so far, love to see more events for artifacts.
