For safety, as I touched on how succubi are born, it requires a new world.

I sent a bug report to the DFHack team. Until then, be careful if you close and load saves or generate new worlds or type "enable succubus-dungeon" in dfhack when you load your save.
To reduce the number of moving parts, I'm dropping the script that add or remove magma well directions. If you launch the mod, you'll have plenty of jobs that do not work, but I believe nearly everyone here figured out how to install it.

Okay the first issue I found that no matter what, if you return to the main menu, DFHack does not rerun the needed scripts. I am sure that was not the case before so I'll ask around what changed.
I hope to have it sorted out soon. I finished the portraits and I'm just testing things before the release.

i can put down one well, but v7 production produces 3/7 thick lava. if i put down a second well it immediately stops producing lava and those two workshops disappear.

I tried doing the enable succubus-dungeon, it told me it was all enabled, but no lava would produce, tried deleting the wells and doing enable again then remaking them but still no lava :(

Okay I had it happen too and now I'm investigating this.
Until then, in the console window you can try typing "enable succubus-dungeon".

If it says something about adding workship and reactions you should be good. If I cannot fix that, I'll just make the mod dfhack only and put the scripted parts visible no matter your setup.

thanks for your hard work, i checked for any civ patches but none for dwarven core harvesting.

hopefully this doesn't give you too much trouble, the sucubi is one of the most fun mods with the dagonkin civ, when they start fighting the whole map starts burning hehe

It seems to me that there is a script failing, sometimes. I'll redo the steps and see what is broken.
Also to get another mod to work require either me or the mod maker to write it down first. I can add them in for the next uptade.
You canalso look up for the civ patches in the workshop, there several that add them in.

and now magma wells wont produce any lava, just gives off erie gases... :(

okay, well next time it happens i'll check the show command on df hack for you.

directions for lava was working, didn't like my embark spots so made a couple new worlds.

on world three direction for lava stopped working, i also lost access to the alter of power and the den. i did show for df hack commands but there was too many red to go through.

i restarted my dwarf fortress to load my quicksave an do the show command for df hack.

but before i id that i checked the well, the directions are back.

i have no idea why they decide to work sometimes and not other times..

Another question. Is there a way to get other mods to work with this civ? Specifically Dwarven core mining, or is that something to ask the other mod? I'm not sure which one needs tags for the other.

Alright so i think my problem was i had some things in dwarf fortress just not working properly and didn't notice till a key material (nether-cap) stopped working properly (was turning into steam when lava touched it).

after days of trying to get my files corrected i finally got steam to let me permanently delete my entire dwarf fortress file. after a fresh install my nether-cap and this mod is working properly. maybe this will help the other guy as well.

On another news I made good progress on the portraits. I got all the parts in except for a few cloth pieces. After that, I only need to do the child and baby portraits.

That's odd. I tried creating a new world with only the mod in (v19.2) and the magma well got its direction menus. Do you have the den of iniquity and altar of power in the build menu as well? Also, are you on Windows?

One thing you can do: right after loading your save, press Control+Shift+D and in the menu type "show" then press enter. It will open a console.

You surely have a block of red in there with the first line going "folder/something.lua:123: blah blah". If you can tell me the file and the message that will help. Thanks.

yeah the magma well doesn't have directions to it, just fill. It wasn't working for 15.11, and still not working for 15.12/15.13.

DF Hack is installed, tried both regular and beta version

The fill area is an option in case you did not install dfhack. I'm considering removing it when you have it installed but I am afraid it wipp crash the game.
And I missed the previous question: creatures from the mod is fire immune. I recommend taking zero safety, as all good succubi forts must experience a surface wildfire.

Im not sure if its user error or a bug but when I placed the magma well it only gave me an option to Fill area which is different from the prior version. I then clicked on it expecting it to fill the tunnelled areas to the cardinal direction points but instead it exploded and spread lava around the area instead

Ah that would explain it then, I've never embarked on an evil zone before but figured I should since I was playing an evil civ. Thank you for explaining that I'm still getting used to the various means of FUN in dwarf fortress.

Are the succubi fire resistant? Or did the imps actually burn everyone alive?

@Paches You probably started into an evil biome that zombify the dead. That's a base game feature. If the place is reported as "haunted" or "terrifying" before you embark you better move elsewhere.

hmm.. so i started a game with the new civ, everything was going okay besides a tree fell on one of the snakes, moments later that snake revives as a zombie, whole group goes ape shit, imps lighting things on fire, everyone is burning to death even the supposedly heat resistant demons. the only things to survive was the frog men who i would have assumed weren't immune to fire.

i thought you only zombify invaders if you had the workshop made, why is a snake auto reviving and ending my run before i can even dig a hole?

I just updated a fix. Both the Den of Corruption and Altar of Power should work now.
Now I'm starting to work on the mod again.
The plan is to a) add graphics, notably portraits, b) remake the Summoning circle and c) extend content in related to the last few DF updates.

If you're using the new Lua update and your Den of Corruption or Altar of Power aren't working, you need to update one of the lua files in the Succubus Dungeon mod folder.

SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dwarf Fortress\data\installed_mods\succubus_dungeon (1901)\scripts_modactive\internal\succubus-dungeon\helpers

Syndromes.lua is using an old reference, when using the new version with Lua scripting enabled.

Replace Line 5 with:
for _, syn in ipairs(df.global.world.raws.mat_table.syndromes.all) do

Hope this helps someone. Would love to see this updated with portraits, I tried to do it and just don't have the skill to make something worth installing.

Does the corruption reaction still work in this mod? I'm curious but don't have time to test it. I don't think it does since some of the modtools it depends on are listed as unavailable.

Hi, I looked into corruption lua , and I have a question: is it supposed to default to a devil, or is it supposed to not work outside of predefined list of transformations? Because GetTargetCaste() has defaulting to a devil, and IsCandidate() excludes anything not on predefined list. I'm not sure which one is intended. Currently it only works on those defined in caste-set.lua

I'm probably having issues with this mod too, I was interested in having a new hostile civ in my world but since I was playing with dwarves they are having weird graphics glitches specially children and babies. Boltgun if you see this can you look into it? I assume it's your mod since you made changes to dwarven entities.

hi im having issues with the den of sin not functioning properly as well as the altar of power and slade drill being unusable(cant add work orders for anything) i run the dfhack command and everything but nothing happens.

Cool mod, but it seems like these gals spread way to fast on the world map if time is allowed to ge by at any significant amount. Not game breaking but it could make late starts a little too easy/boring.

Something of an issue. I think a succubus territory was taken over and I've received (non-succubus) caravans which brought magic fire items that were promptly dumped on the trade depot and set everything already there ablaze. Any way to hard restrict that racially?

Further testing, if in a group of succubi, with more than one having the abilities, then the abilities appear to function, which is very interesting as they do not seem to function when alone.

Been testing this in adventure mode a decent bit, I think its semi-compatible.

If you adjust the various new secrets so that they include the flag to seek for immortality, gods of those spheres will produce tablets that make those secrets.

If you go out and seek out all the tablets, you can actually learn every single one of the secrets and gain all their powers.

However, they are not fully functional, or at least of the abilities I have tested, none of them seem to be functional. You can use the abilities, but they do nothing, I presume this is because the DFHack script is not running while in adventure mode, and unfortunately I do not know how to fix this.
