Can you please add 3 Rheinmetall Skyshield classnames, one for each texture? Like:
"GX_Skyshield_E" (default)
"GX_Skyshield_desert_E" (new)
"GX_Skyshield_green_E" (new)
"GX_Skyshield_grey_E" (new)

Can I use it with AMS system and add to it animated recoil of barell and make it as UAV unit not person turret? (this is automated system not manned so it should be like that), and why it have some problems with spawn in correct height on map (no land contact LOD or something?) if you are interested to improove it to make it possibile to do this https://youtu.be/qdSO5Czeh3U contact me

GanX, I do highly encourage you to make Opfor and Indep units of this.

Yes you can just put Opfor and Indep units in the Blufor turret, but you see, ArmA AI is incredibly stupid when it comes to IFF.

If they see an enemy vehicle, regardless of if it is crewed, there is a high possibility of friendly fire because if the AI are threatened by something, they will look for threats, see an "enemy" vehicle, and launch a missile at it without the AI knowing there's friendlies inside of it.

This problem is especially pronounced with aircraft. I have been shot down by my own SAMs on multiple occasions because I was piloting an enemy vehicle. The reverse is also true where friendly aircraft will shoot friendly vehicles on the ground, or infantry will shoot friendly vehicles on the ground, because they are enemy vehicles piloted by friendly units.

It's stupid, I know, but until Bohemia lets us change the faction of the actual empty vehicle, it's a problem that will remain.

We tried it. our garrison units don't get in empty turrets for some reason and placing it with crew will have blufor units in them. We want to be able to spawn it with independant crew (FIA, LDF, Syndikat, etc...) so we don't have to recruit our own AI to have them boarded. Then, when i leave the game, the turrets with their crew will remain active after i disconnected as Zeus. Having the "sides" option is also a way to have them working for independants or opfor.

@MilanMessina, I'm not sure i understand the problem. Aye it's a BLUFOR unit, but it's technically speaking just a vehicle.
1. Spawn the Skyshield in Eden or via Zeus
2. Remove the AI guy sitting in it
3. Put an AI from whatever faction you like into the Skyshield
4. Profit??? :steamhappy:

This mod is set on the Blufor side. Can a option be added to switch sides for this turret in Zeus? We would like to use this Skyshield as Airfield defense on the Independant side in Antistasi Plus.
And since it's Blufor, garrisoned units do not board this turret either in antistasi.

I think that if you used something like Zeus Enhanced that might have been possible. But i did have a look with no mods loaded and he was correct that it couldn't be placed. In any case, it should work now regardless :steamhappy:

Odd, it was spawnable for me for the BLUFOR faction via Zeus before the update.

Thank you very much for pointing out this flaw. I was actually unaware, and its obviously meant to be spawnable in Zeus. I have released an update that should fix the problem. Steam can be a bit slow, so you can repair the mod and get the update right away.

can you integrate it with drongo's air defense system so that it can attack mortars and rockets too? Since these types of systems are primarily built for that purpose.

But this system does not exist in this way :steammocking:
And it will never fit on a Hi-Lux Toyota (too heavy)

Hey there. Like the mod but did you know that Redd'n'TankVehicles, i think it is, also had the Mantis implemented for some time including the radar unit? ... idk maybe worth for you checking out but I like your work.
