I made a movelist doc for a reason man... But yes Burst being unblockable and dealing damage was the plan, it's SCREWED UP I know, but I'm planning a full rework that makes Zen fairer and cooler.
As for throw tech, it being faster was intended, but it's straight up impossible to combo off of, the most he can get is a Ki Shot meaty or an Overhead meaty in the corner..? Maybe some weird bug? But I'm testing it now and yeah throw tech's invulnerability lasts the entire time.
Also grab tech (when two grabs clash) is ready early, making it possible for Zen to combo off of.

so that move will exist in the future, just not on this Zen
I don't really have the motivation to work on this version of Zen, he's just so flawed
so I'm starting over, and this time I'll actually try and follow through on my plans for him
but for now, I have other characters I'm working on
Just wanted to know if you were still working on properly implementing it or not, since it isn't a Frenzy attack.
for Zen this means... nothing for now lol. Sorry Zen dudes. I'm still designing his revamp, but technically speaking, this version of him is complete.

Like if he had some sort of lingering hitbox out that he could burst you into, then sure I'd change it being unblockable
I for sure don't consider it broken, it's compensation for struggling everywhere else lol
You get to ignore potential parry reads and deal 10 damage, didn't think it was that big of a deal really

I realized that as of right now it's not practical for me to wait before completing these new moves before updating him, because if I wait for that it'll be ages lol
I'll just update him as I can, making promises just ain't realistic currently

Yeah honestly Cowboy's way stronger than most people think, a good Cowboy sweeps most modded characters

He's definitely not for everyone, forces a different playstyle with the lack of range but I like how he turned out

Most of his attacks are very short ranged, this might seem like a problem, but his super dash has armor, making him able to close distance for his short ranged moves effectively, without feeling overly oppressive as you have moves to improve your position if he does super dash.
His strength is meant to be an up close brawler, and feel he fits this niche nicely. I like where this is going he feels fairly well balanced so far, if a little bit weaker than cowboy, though that seems to be being worked on. Nice character!
Also update, I won't be doing anything major like new moves for a while because I'm juggling a lot of stuff and also a significant update to mechanics is coming sometime soon, dunno exactly when but I'm hesitant to do anything too big just to have to adjust it later. We'll see

covering distance shouldn't be an issue, controlling space is a weakness because no easily accessible projectiles but dude has multiple movement tools
