I do not know, but as long as the affliction still exists, and calyx extract, alien blood, and dementonite are still in the game, then the mod should not have any issues

Yep just tested this mod works great!

I have no idea why it's not working for you guys, I tested in submarine editor, in singleplayer, and in multiplayer and it works
The only things that would explain why it does not work is either if you're using a modded armor providing husk infection resistance or wearing a dive suit, which has 1/2 chance of nullifying husk infection, and I'm not even sure if it also applies to symbiosis for the latter

For me it just does nothing, it doesn't even show that you are gaining symbiosis or doing anything, you just inject yourself and there goes 3 dementonite.

Symbiosis progress stops at 49% on multiplayer server with friend. Debug is throwing no errors. Doesn't progress or fade, just stops like it hit a wall.

Can confirm, injection does not work as intended.
The original symbiosis effect gains strength at a 50/s rate until progression is 75%, then drops to 10/s until maxed. This didn't even do that much, fading out after about 20 seconds of inability to decide whether to progress or self-cure.
