Great map building and definitely a challenge. But tbh this is just unnecessarily time-consuming. It took over an hour to tweak and find the squad placements (and save scumming) to make it through about 33% of the map. At minimum add some reinforcement points or let us have a radio operator. I refused to keep trekking back across the map for 5 minutes to reinforce so I eventually spawned my own radio operator.

Mission 5 is under development - But is taking longer than Normal as i have started a new job, so work is taking up my time.

i figured it out, You have one squad forward the rest behind, they threw a satchel charge, and then run the rest cover them, if you use satchels exclusively you can probably beat the whole game with standard infantry there that good.

This mission was designed to be hard and to challenge the way people play. Some people unfortunately don't like it and beat it or do not beat, others that do like have also have beat it and also not beat it.

This mini campaign is not to every ones liking of how i have designed them.

Every time I play this it is a stalemate. The holes are too far apart, and one rocket launcher per hole is isn't enough to draw them out. I can kill all the grenadiers, the plasma bug, there just isn't enough at the end left to force the final hole. There just no force multiplier to tip the scale, not even a hidden Easter egg. Just too unbalanced for me. Not fun and frustrating. Sorry.

Not sure if its a bug or not, but the plasma bug only shot once the entire time, over all tho i enjoyed this map, as it had just enough of frustrating surprises and a fair bit of tactics to overcome the map and win

Okay, I believe and hope i found the cause of the Crashing and have fixed it. Please let me know if this has worked. (I pray it has)

I am having a issue that seems to be common, but right when i take the first outpost and troops land it crashes every time, is there a fix to this issue?

Also to note: These maps where made by the open-Beta version of the game - I'm unsure of this is a cause of the crashing.

I noticed there was an item causing issues with pathing and clipping, I have since removed this item, and re-jigged the radio Station location.

I would suggest everyone Un-Sub from Planet Erza in game, Then Delete the planet Erza Workshop folder, and then re-sub to the Map. By deleting the Workshop folder you remove all traces of it, and get a clean install.

I see, this is becoming a bigger problem - than expected. - Will look into it again. This has all happened since they updated the game. I will look into this matter again.

Same Issue here, Mission crashes constantly after securing the first outpost.

Just updated the map to v1.7
QoL improvements:
- Added Mini Map markers to make it clear of next objective.
- Fixed some pathing issues with bug spawns
-Added a Skip-intro option (For those whom have already played or for people who just want to play straight away)

un-sub and re-sub to make sure you have the correct map version

I see, what version of the game are you both running? The map was created using the Beta.

Just tested the map again for my self, the first radio station you capture at the start, No crash for me, when i captured it or when i deployed my troopers.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention however, I will look into this.

However i feel it could be a Error on an update made by the dev's.

But make sure you have the current version of the map also :)

I will have a look into this. But there was no crashing for me when i tested this.

Only thing i can suggest un-sub and re-sub to the map to make sure you have the latest version :)

It crashed when I selected the troopers from the first radio outpost. When they landed so I could select them it crashed then.

Hi, do you mean the outpost at the start of the mission? Could you explain what you where doing at the time of said crash so i case if there is an issue - I have just played the mission again (Since the update to SST:TC) and there was no crash for me.

The link should take you directly to the Planet Erza discord Page,

However if it does not (for some reason)

Might ask you you join the Official Starship Troopers: Terran Command Discord server, just click Yes.

Then on the side bar Menu:

Scenario Editor > Scenario-Release > Planet Erza

From there you can upload a screenshot of the error your having, so i can get better context and have a look at what Might have caused it, if its an error on the map or just an error you are having.

I think this could be an isolated incident on your end, The only Marauder in this mission is owned by a NPC Player and not near the stairs leading down at start up. As i have loaded the map 4 times and the mission runs normally.

sorry for the late post seems at the beginning of the mission when you take control of jhon their is a marauder block the stairs down and you can go up maybe im doing sum thing wrong

Mission is ok but, 1 part when about half way through u take and hold a bridge, i had no idea that it was going to be a take and hold part of the mission and i just thought it was another reinforcement spot. Got wiped out and felt really frustrated about that.

Fantastic Experience! Loved all of it. So many missions have you fighting among valleys and bluffs. It has been a blast fighting in a cityscape and getting to reclaim outposts and facilities. Also. I love AI units being dropped to guard areas behind you. It just feels more immersive.

Excellent map. Pacing and challenge were spot on. As was the sense of exploration and rewards for doing so.

I stuffed myself up by separating my troops while capturing the bridge. My only suggestion would be to put the auto-save before starting the capture (and at other locations if there are auto-saves there too) so players can re-position before the waves comes in . Although I was able to get creative with choke points and special abilities after a reload so it wasn't too bad.

Other than that, no notes. Great work!

To hear this from you has lifted my hopes! Was not sure it would live up to the Talent of others! You are the one that started me the journey of TC map making.

I have Taken notes on feedback (along side others from discord) and updated the map to version 1.2 - I will review the balance issue next update, and see how to balance it without taking away from struggle what is Planet Erza!

Some more balance concerns when capturing the 2nd radio station, however, I'm still alive. I'm tactically retreating my tactical officer and going at it again and again. Meat for the grinder. Just some things to be aware of to make it a smoother experience, however.

Some spelling errors. Overall still highly impressed!

The full strenght tigers are a bit to deal with at the bridge control section. Although, I barely got my tactical officer out using the transport system. I was able to force my way back in using transports

Good sir this is a visually stunning map, the trigger work is very polished and the balance is spot on. I had no troubles with this and its awesome!!!

Good sir, for your first map, this is phenominal. I haven't finished the entire mission yet but I had to jot down that I'm LOVING this map of yours. You even inspired ME on how to fix a problem I was having with lore text for my campaign!

You are incredible, and I am going to be playing your campaign!
