Had to break up my reply because of the character limit. Part 2:

Now I had a couple of other SM mods that added structures that interacted with outposts or changed terrain, so something there could have also been responsible, but it seems like some kind of mod that alters or changes a terrain tile makes it completely have a stroke. The crash usually happened just before the start of my turn, so I think a research from one of those mods or something that the AI faction did triggered whatever error was happening.
Hey Timmeh, I've been having crash issues similar to Hellektronic, and I played around with it a bit to get you as much info as I could. Hope this helps.

I was constantly crashing around turn 5, no error message or anything, just straight to desktop.
* The crash log just has the start of my turn as a final entry, and cuts off immediately.
* I noticed that this only happened with Space Marines. I played AM for 12 hours with no issue.
* For some reason, after removing Heroes of Legend Blood Ravens 1&2, I was able to get to about 12 turns without a crash.
* After I uninstalled this mod I was able to play for a few hours without issue.

Awesome mod, Timmeh! crazy how it doesn't eat my resources the way G+ does (no hate to Gladius+ cause it's an AMAZING mod).

Hey Charles, you can use a mod like https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2985613642&searchtext=weed
or even use the same technique that mod uses to create a patch that restores the default wireweed.

The vegetation texture in vanilla contains all vegetation, but if you create a seperate material for the wireweed you can assign it back to a copy of the vanilla texture. That's what I recommended to the above mod's creator to make his mod compatible, so take a look at how it's done there if you're up to it.

Hello Timmeh. I love this mod and what it does is amazing. My only caveat is the texture of the wireweed. The base game texture is easily distinguishable from the rest of the environment. But with your mod, it's too dark !

I'm sorry about this, as I have tried to resolve the issue myself but i'm absolutely NOT someone that knows how to modify textures.

I'd LOVE for you to create an alternative version with the original wireweed texture!!

I appreciate the effort. The error logs didn't show anything to notable, Slitherine support wasn't able to help before so they're pretty generic errors.

I just realized I messed up a few textures not being ^2, with one exceeding 8192. Perhaps that could cause issues on some cards? Fixed those now, but that's about all I can do.

Yeah... I don't understand these crashes, my game was doing it earlier playing the vanilla game until I upgraded my BIOS, which fixed it. But now I'm having struggles with mods that are somewhat resource intensive. My card should be able to handle it, my RAM should be able to handle it, my CPU is plenty, but a Vulkan update Paradox apparently did is giving me hell.

Strange. Mod works fine regardless of map size though.
I've only seen your issue when I increased the world size in my other mod and the game ran out of memory.

Does it work on a large size map? I can do sizes under large, but as soon as I go large it crashes instantly.

You cool with me making some mods that build off of yours as a prerequisite (but not directly republish them)? You've done a bunch of what I was working toward, but to a much more thorough degree. I'd like to incorporate your terrain textures in with my randomized terrain densities and coloring.

@Roach Like Kurziel said, it's technically compatible, although I think the visuals would clash since I went for a more natural look. Just place his mod higher up in your mod list if you want the Recolored textures with this vegetation config and whatever textures he hasn't changed (cloud shadows, features, etc).

@Roach This should be compatible with Gladius Recolored in the sense that there shouldn't be any crashes caused. However both mods change many of the same textures. Whichever mod is higher in the load order will take preference.

This mod just replaces textures and tweaks vegetation distribution.
It does not affect tile distributions or particles.

From what I can see, there is much more snow with your mod active, and a lot of more snow flakes. I guess patricles murder performance.
I forgot to type that I play game maxed out except for shadows (medium) and I disabled that super ugly FXAA and DoF like in every other game I do.

Strange. Makes no difference as far as I can tell.
The only difference with arctic tiles is that they have a slight illumination on the ground texture, but that shouldn't have any noticeable performance impact.

Mod is pretty good, I use it all the time except on Arctic maps.
Arctic simply murders frame rate. No other biome has that issues. I play vanilla game capped at 144 fps, even on big maps and 6+ vs 6+ with 50+ units on screen, it never goes under 100 fps even with this mod.
But on Artic when game starts it just tanks to 60 fps, and when units start to show up after some 20+ turns, it goes under 40 fps.
So I disable mod when I play on Artic maps. Otherwise, I use it.

ok I actually have got it working now but I much prefer your vegetation in general to that of Gladius plus since the trees are WAAAY too big. can I replace the Gladius plus vegetation with yours?
